Is 1 hour of cardio 5days a week good?!


Question: Is 1 hour of cardio 5days a week good!?
I just started a diet plan and have been sticking to it GREAT!! I also started working out and I'm currently doing an hour of cardio 5 days a week!. I'm focusing on cardio for now to loose weight fast and effectively!. I'm trying to stay away from weights right now bc i have a really bad knee and back and I don't want to aggervate it you know!? Right now i'm doing about 5miles a day and burning 600calories!. Do you think this is a good way to loose weight!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You sound like you're doing great!. I admire your willpower, keep going! How you exercise really depends on what results you're trying to get!. If you're already in pretty good shape with a low body fat percentage, by all means, keep running 5 miles a day!. However, if you want dramatic fat loss results, try wind or hill sprints!. You will definitely see great fat-stripping results! Google 'interval training' and 'tabata intervals for more advice, also try out weight training (no, it doesn't make you bulk up) and circuit training!. If your knee hurts, swim and use interval techniques for an awesome workout! I think that is great!. Just make sure you aren't burn more calories that what your intake is, because your body will burn muscle instead of fat and you don't want that!. I am losing weight as well, but depending on how much you want to lose you may want to do a little strength training because people who lose a lot of weight with just cardio will have lots of extra skin!. Yes! That's awesome!. You can strengthen your back by strengthening your core (abs)!. Also, you could still do a little free weight training!. Maybe some bench presses!. I think what you're doing is perfect! You're going to look great! I go to the gym 5-7 days a week and I used to do an hour of cardio, but I just bumped it up to 90 minutes! I look great so I know you will too! Keep it up!Www@Answer-Health@Com
