Question: Hows my eating schedual look to you!?
K heres my schedual

Breakfast: Oatmeal with cereal on top


Lunch I have a smoothie around 3:00 before i work out

I either have ballet class or run 7 miles at the gym for 7mph or faster
then a little strenght training

Dinner: I usually have a salad with a big sandwich and maybe a piece of cake

On weekends I run 7!.5 miles to the market and that morning i have pop-tarts then i have a protein bar for lunch then usually a big dinner with desert example of my dinners i have everynight would be a Turkey cranberry wrap a huge salad with many vegetables no dressing and A slice of cake!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well i am not seeing any real protein in your diet!. That is huge and essential to help muscle recovery and muscle growth!. I gram of protein per body weight that you want to be!.I would recommend that you should eat 5-6 times a day every 3-4 hours, small balanced meals!.

You are young enough now to get away with an unhealthy diet!.

Dr!. Dean Ornish has given us a remarkable diet that eliminates much of the risk from corinary disease, high blood pressure, cancer, and diabeties!. His diet is low-fat, high fiber, and vegitarian!. This applies to sick old people but it is also relevant to young healthy people as well!.

Your youth may enable you to compensate for a very bad diet and not suffer immediate health consequences!. Here is what I'd say based on personal experience (not necessarily what Dean Ornish would say):

Cereal on top is OK if it's not whole grain and does not contain sugar or artificial sweeteners!.

Big sandwich should not have butter or mayo or meat!.

Piece of cake has sugar or sweeteners and fat!. These are all bad for you!.

Pop-tarts are a corporate food that is very bad for your health!.

Smoothies are typically very high in refined sugar!. Very bad!.

Protein bars can be laced with oil and fat!. Very bad!.

Good for you on the no salad dressing!

Cranberries are laced with sugar!. It's very bad!.

Turkey may be better than hamburger, but it contains animal fat that is not good!.

Your diet does not contain enough fiber including more vegitables, fruits, beans, brown rice, and so on!. If you really want a healthy diet, you should learn about a low fat vegitarian diet such as recommended by Dr!. Dean Ornish!. Americans eat far too much fat and this leads to weight gain and disease!. I'd start healthy eating habits now!. You may feel better once you've modified your diet!.

The very act of posting indicates that you are thinking about diet and exercise!. Bravo on the exercise part!. You might want to learn about aerobic exercise later on!. Now is a good time to learn how to have an optimal diet!.

Americans are addicted to fat, refined carbohydrates, sugars, and other unhealthy corporate food additives!. I recommend that you get accustomed to eating fresh foods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
