Is 179 lbs unhealthy for a 5'3" female?!


Question: Is 179 lbs unhealthy for a 5'3" female!?
Based on measurements and scales, the total body water weight says 45lbs, bone mass is 5!.4lbs, and muscle weight is 52lbs!. However, the total body weight is 179lbs!. Is this very unhealthy!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

For a 5'3" female 179 is very definitely overweight!. Being overweight is unhealthy!. It puts more stress on our joints and our heart!. It has to work harder when we exert ourselves!.

When I was growing up there were height/weight charts!. Most of them took into account your bone frame size (small, medium or large bones)!. I am about 5'3" to 5'4"!. They would put the weight range between 110 to 130 lbs!. If you work out a lot remember muscle weighs more than fat!. A muscular person may look the same size but weigh more than the unfit person!. However anyway you look at it 179lbs is at least 30- 40 lbs too much!.

Best way to lose weight is slow and steady!. It is a change of eating habits to better choices and portion control!. Then continue with the healthy changes!. That for me has always been the hardest!. Losing the weight was always somewhat easy!. The keeping it off is the hardest!. I would slip back to many of my old eating habits and would slowly gain the weight again!.

it is overweight!. i wouldnt say very unhealthy though!. i am 175lbs and 5'4, and i should be about 135lbs!. i am working on losing the weight!. just start eating healthier and exercising!. i think the best thing to do is count your calories-i am not taking in more than 1200 calories a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would say that is pretty unhealthy considering I have quite a bit of muscle, im 6'0 and i weight 160!. So thats 19lbs less then you!. But i've in very good shape!. So i dont' know how UNHEALTHY that is!.!.But I can priobably tell you that its not HEALTHY!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

its not very unhealthy, but you want to bring that number!. try dieting and working out!. im 5'8 and you weigh more than me!. i work out, and diet!. you should be happy for the way you are!. try to stay on the healthy size!. that might be a problem when you get much older!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
