Running & Muscle Repair question?!

Question: Running & Muscle Repair question!?
I'm currently running 5x a week in the morning, pretty much when I wake up!. My goal is no longer fat loss, but muscle gain(running better!)!.

Do you think it is better to run in the morning or at night for optimal muscle gain!? Or does it probably not matter!? Whichever I do, I make sure to consume adequate amounts of protein within 15 minutes of finishing!. I've heard that the majority of muscle repair happens while sleeping, so I've been thinking about changing my workout time to be closer to sleep time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You should run when it feels comfortable for you!. If you run close to your bed time, you may find yourself unable to sleep at night!. It depends on the individual!. The best bet for muscle gain is to combine your regular cardiovascular exercise (running) with an integrated resistance training (free weights, cables, bands) program!. I've read a lot of university studies that have concluded resistance training combined with cardio increases performance in athletes!. Power exercises are especially effective!. You mention protein consumption after your runs, but how is your carbohydrate intake!? A carbohydrate beverage 16-32 oz is recommended 2-4 hours prior to and within two hours after exercise to load and replace electrolytes (sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride) lost during moderate to long duration exercise!. The GSSI has done a lot of research on the subject and their website has some great info for runners!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Keep the morning runs!. Not at night!.
