I would suggest not doing ANYTHING with your left side until it heals properly so you don't mess it up more by trying to work through it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've hurt my shoulder 3 times last year!. Or I should say I hurt it once and never let it heal fully!. I know you feel like you don't want to give up the gains you already have made from lifting but constantly hurting yourself isn't going to make you stronger!. I suggest you drop lifting for at least 2 months!. Instead of lifting do a lot of cardio!. After the 2 months slowy test your shoulder with lighter weights!. Or you could do exercises without weights- push-ups and such!.

Be sure to ice your shoulder after a workout and take plenty of Alleve (or Naproxen, a less pricey generic brand but the same thing)!. Apply a heating pad before bed!.

I actually gave up lifting for nearly a year because I was tired of hurting my shoulder!. I took up swimming after my two month break!. It helped loosen up my shoulder and now I'm comfortable lifting again!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

seriously man, rest is all you should do until it is 100% better!. i know this from first hand experience, i injured my shoulder and decided to build it up stronger before it was healed properly, as a result of this i now have the beginnings of arthritis and constant pain in that shoulder every time i lift something, even if its just a pen!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You need to find out WHY you have this problem before you continue any type of lifting with that shoulder!. You do not want to injure it further!.
If it is muscle involvement, you can further tear the muscle!.
Please see your Physician first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

My best suggestion is to take a break!. When you work out that shoulder it makes it worse and takes longer to heal and that means longer to wait to work out again Www@Answer-Health@Com

The only weight you can do safely is a pendulum exercise with a 3 lb max weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im not sure but you shouldn't work out at all until your shoulder is ok if you work it out while it hurts the longer its gonna take to recover itWww@Answer-Health@Com

None!.!.!. period!. Your shoulder won't heal if you keep pushing
weights!. Most likely the damage will get even greater!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
