What's missing from my diet? Will I lose weight?!

Question: What's missing from my diet!? Will I lose weight!?
I am 350+ pounds, 23 years old, and 6'2" -- for the past week, I've reduced my calorie intake and started exercising regularly!. This is what I generally eat each day, spread out throughout the day!.

1 serving of nonfat strawberry or peach yogurt - fiber one kind
1 piece of fruit (grapes, grapefruit, banana, or apple)
1 fiber-one chewy granola bar
1 kashi/weightwatchers/lean cuisine/healthy choice meal
1 Special K protein meal bar
1 serving of high-fiber maple/brown sugar oatmeal
A sensible dinner consisting carbs, protein, vegetables, low fat (usually tuna salad on wheat, spaghetti with wheat pasta, another frozen meal, or red beans with brown rice)

On any given day, this amounts to 1500-1800 calories, half of it being carbs, 25% of it being fat, and 25% protein!. I also would consume 35g or more of fiber each day with this eating plan!.

Now, according to every "calories burned" calculator, I burn 3500+ calories a day just being sedentary, so i figure my calorie defecit is OK!. But I want to make sure I am not getting too much of one thing, like sugar, complex carbs, or fat!.

My exercise routine consists of 20 minutes of cardio (treadmill) with my max heart rate being 170-180bpm!. Obviously, someone of my size can't run for very long so I usually walk 3mph on varying inclines!. In addition to the cardio 5 days a week, I also do weight training 3 days a week which consists of 2 sets of five different exercise machines!. I'm still getting a feel for those but I generally do enough reps to be fatigued!.

So, given all the information, is there something i should change!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That sounds pretty good and sustainable

Keep in mind that a lot of the lean cuisine type meals are very high in sodium!. You definitely don't want too much sodium in your diet!. Try for some fresh food, look up some low fat recipes!.

Also take note that non-fat products usually compensate by increasing the sugar content!.

Given your current weight, I would highly recommend going to your doctor and discussing your exercise program with him/her as you do not want to put yourself in dangerWww@Answer-Health@Com

I feel like you've got a pretty good diet and exercise routine!. I wouldn't change about anything!. Do make sure that what you're drinking has a limited amount of sugar because most energy/fruit drinks are loaded with it!. Best of luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might want to add some more fruit such as maybe having a banana, 2 slices of watermelon and littler pieces of fruit because your suppose to have 5 servings of fruit a day!. I'd also put the 20 mins up to 25 working your way up to 30 in the next 2 months!? You burn 3,500 calories a day!? lucky! that's on pound every day! Any way good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

lol, do you really think you'll lose weight by eating yogurt, fruit, and pasta!? I mean, yeah you can, if you eat 800 calories a day!. If you really want to lose weight your only carbs should be oatmeal in the morning!. The rest of the day eat only fish, vegetables, chicken and lean meat!. Only drink water!.

Yes the goal is to eat normally with portion control, but if you want faster fat loss I would go with the low/no carb diet until you get your weight down!. It is not harmful and many people have used it with great success!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
