What is motivating to you?!


Question: What is motivating to you!?
I'm trying to lose a couple lbs before the holidays, but I cant seem to be motivated!. Does anyone have any tips on how to get my lazy butt off the sofa, and into the gyms!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is what works for me:

Buy your own fitness equipment, I own a 20kg dumbell set ($50) and a skipping rope ($5) and that's it!. I also have a full length mirror that I have hanging in the lounge room!.

I work out in the loungeroom in front of my mirror when I'm watching TV!. I do my weights program 3x a week and skip the same!. I also do sport 2 to 3x a week!.

Having your own equipment, you have no excuse not to workout!. Also, when it's freezing or boiling hot outside, the last thing you want to do is get out there and exercise!. At least at home inside, you can workout anytime of the day or night!.

Skipping is probably the cheapest form of cardio avaliable that doesn't require you to move out of your comfortable environment, plus I find that it increases my fitness faster then any other cardio!. It's so easy just to pick it up in the loungeroom and skip during the commercials of your TV shows!.

Weight training with your own dumbbells I would only advise if you have done gym work before!. It's easy to hurt yourself if you don't know the correct techniques of lifting the weights!. Also, an increase in muscle mass increases your metabolism (if you stick with it)!.

Group fitness classes are awesome!. Being around other people really motivates you and you can feel like you are letting the group down if you don't show up!. You feed off others enthusiasm!.

Finally, the reason I mentioned the mirror earlier, I will come off a bit vain here!.!.!. it is so motivating to see yourself working out!. You see your muscles working and contracting!. Also, after your workout while your blood is still pumping, your muscles stay slightly contracted making them appear bigger!. It's a really good motivational boost to keep on going!.

Don't worry about lbs so much, more look at your muscle/fat content!. You could weight 160lbs and be flabby, or you could weigh 160lb and be practically all muscle!. There's a big difference in looks there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Getting motivated is so hard!. I too am trying to find motivation!. Mine is my mom!. She's constantly saying how fat I am (I'm not really though) so proving her wrong is my motivation!. Find something that makes you upset and you want to change about yourself!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Do you have a partner!? If so, is there a particular type of person they leer at each time you go out!? If so, have a mental image of that person for your motivation!. If not, take a pic of yourself in your swimming costume and place it on the fridge!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should get up every morning and stand in front of a mirror naked for 5 mins!. then go to the store and buy only healthy food and then dont get food for 2 weeks!. u have to eat it!. yayWww@Answer-Health@Com
