Question: Do I eat wayyyy too much/ what changes can I make!?
Hi I am feeling guilty because I feel like I eat wayyyy to much and very unhealthy this is what I usually eat:

breakfast- coffee, piece of cake
lunch- 2 burritos, 2 enchiladas, water
snack- slice of cake , chips
dinner-2 quesadillas , chips, water
snack- another piece of cake, chocolate and milk

sometimes I might eat more!.!.

I am 20 years old, 5'4 and weight 145, I want to loose 20 lbs

First of all, don't feel guilty at all! You aren't eating too much, and are already underweight!. The average height for a woman is 5'4" and average weight is 165 lbs!. You are clearly much skinner than is normal!.

Admittedly, you don't eat very healthy!. I think you are eating a good amount, or if anything, too little!. Try looking at http://www!.mypyramid!.gov/ for an idea of what a balanced diet is!. It tells you all about what good portion sizes are!. It's very important to eat those fruits and vegetables that you are clearly missing in your current diet!. Try snacking on some fruits to satisfy your sweet tooth during snack time!. Even just drinking 100% juice is a better choice, and will fill you up better than the empty calories of cake!.

The most important thing is to make healthy choices!. The numbers on a scale are not worth putting yourself at risk, and trying any "diets" often leads to a lack of important vitamins, or a lack of calories which means you won't have the energy you need!.

Try getting a nutritionist if you are having a hard time knowing what to eat and how much to eat!. They have gone to school, and are a professional!. They know the best way to be maintain a healthy weight and make the right choices in your life!.

If you find yourself feeling guilty when you eat, or really stressed about the number on the scale, think about talking to a therapist!. Talking to a therapist doesn't mean that you are crazy or anything is wrong with you!. Therapists are useful at helping you deal with small stressors in life like this!. If you are in school, lots of schools offer free therapy sessions where you can get help with the things that stress you like the guilt of eating too much, or the pressure to lose a few pounds!.

Exercise is important as well!. Just 30 minutes a day is all it takes!. Don't be alarmed if you gain a few pounds when you start to exercise, muscle weighs more than fat, even though it looks leaner and takes up less space!.

Most importantly, try to stay healthy! Trying to lose 20 pounds is not worth sacrificing your health over!. Lots of dieting tricks and ideas deprive your body of important vitamins and can lead to things like osteoporosis before age 25 (trust me, I have a friend in that very place in her life)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Changes:

breakfast- coffee (fine), piece of cake(ridiculous, replace bad carbs and simple sugar with good carbs and fiber, i!.e!. oatmeal!. Also get some protein: Eggs)

lunch- 2 burritos, 2 enchiladas, water (If you really wanna lose weight, these tortillas will not help, replace those carbs with rice, and you can have any meat you want for lunch)

snack- slice of cake , chips (Bad!.!.!.Snacking is good, but make it an apple, banana, orange, or almonds)
dinner-2 quesadillas , chips, water (Again, the bad thing here is the tortillas!. Understand that the best carbs for your diet when you are trying to trim down are rice, vegetables, beans, legumes, nuts, seeds, whole grain breads, cereals, and pastas!.

snack- another piece of cake, chocolate and milk (You should know this one by now)

It's not about sacrificing all the foods you love all together; just replacing some of the things you eat now with better options at least 3 times a week!. Get more protein in your diet, and get active, and you'll be looking and feeling better in no time!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Breakfast NO cake!.
An occassional pastry for a weekend treat maybe!

Could you switch to buckwheat pancakes!.
Buckwheat is higher in protein!

Lunch!. Do those burritos and enchiladas have vegies and protein in them!? Get ones with less cheese!. Switch to wholemeal wraps with protein fillings and salad on the side!.

No takeaway with large amounts of melted cheese!

Snack NO cake pie muffins or pastries unless they include high fiber low GI fruit for filling!. Switch to fruit! No chips!

Dinner No chips No junk food No takeaway unless its low fat
Learn to cook!

Cake more than once a day is a big NO - NO

Chocolate Actually DRINKING chocolate has LESS fat than a chocolate bar so switch to liquids!. If you do have chocolate one SMALL piece of a 75% dark chocolate bar!.

Real dark chocolate may stimulate weight loss in SMALL amounts!.

Go to the library and read about LOW GI foods!.

I can see you love Mexican but have you ever considered sushi or sashimi or chinese vegetarian!?

More fruit and fruit juice!. Less dairy!. More protein and vegies!
Have a bigger breakfast and less later in the day!.

Breakfast should be fruit juice and cereal or toast!.
Possibly fruit on the cereal!?

Try going for more fruits and vegetables in your diet and less processed foods that are full of sodium and sugar!.
Breakfast- banana, whole grain toast or waffles w/ peanut butter, cinnamon and honey, yogurt!.
Lunch- low sodium soups, fresh salads w/ lowfat dressing!.
Dinner- small portion of meat and lots of veggies!.
Snacks- fresh fruits, veggies, nuts, dry cereal, hummus and pita!.
There's a few ideas to get you started!. At the grocery store shop from the outer edges of the store and avoid the aisles as much as possible!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think you pick the food that are unhealthy for you!. Sure they taste good and everything but the question is are they healthy for you!? No!.
How about if you cut down the piece of cake and chocolate!?
I was like you before but now I'm not!. I've lost 5 kg!. I eat fruit instead of chocolate!. Water instead of soda!.
You should try this:

breakfast- milk, organic bread with egg!. (breakfast is the most important meal of the day)
Lunch- Vegetable salad!.
Snack- Fruit shake or eat fruits instead of cake and chips!.
Dinner- Try eat a piece of meat with something at least (it's good for you cuz it has protein in it)

Eat fruits when you're hungry, that's what I do or Drink water a lot of water to fight your appetite!.

You are spiking your blood sugar level with the high glycemic refined carbohydrates!. That boosts your insulin, which brings your sugar crashing down and then you are hungry again!.

Watch your calories!.

Always eat a good healthy breakfast!. Eggs are good!.

Replace cake with something like a sweet fruit!.

No chips!.!.!.!.try rice cakes!. Or chewy granola bars!.

Always drink water!. Its harder for your body to break down liquid calories!.

Also if you like chocolate milk!.!.!.!.!.I suggest drinking chocolate soy milk its pretty good!.!.!.!.a little different than milk or course but still good!.

Try to exercise a little everyday!.!.!.!.get your heart pumping!. :D

if you want to lose weight, eat healthier!. get rid of high calorie food such as sugar!. so get rid of cake!. drink skim milk if you can take the taste!. less cake!. less sugar on coffee!. more exercise!. I think most of us know how to lose weight, we're just not disciplined enough to do so (ex: me)Www@Answer-Health@Com

2 weeks ago I went on a diet
no carbs
no fast food ( only eating subway)
no soda
no chips or junk food
chicken and fish only and lean meats at subway!.!.!.
(chicken not fried)
I lost 6 pounds!.!.
but i gained it back because I eat alot again now:(
Im 5 foot 2 and 150 the most i ever!.!.!.!.
Try to eat healthy !.!.!.
fresh fruit and vegies no cake:)

dam thats alot, cut out everything but the water,,!. you need solid vegetables, and meat, and some dairy,

have some steak, vegetable, chicken , stuff like that, stay away from the confectionary and processed food, thats what kills youWww@Answer-Health@Com

-don't eat 3 hrs b4 bED
-drink plenty of water!.its somehow makes you lose fat
-cut down ooon the cake even though it is yum

I saw on TV about this woman who carried about a small bag of dirt that she sprinkled on her food when she was tempted!. Hey, it's extreme but sometimes that's what it takes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
