"By definition, fiber isn't digested in the small intestine and so isn't broken down into glucose and absorbed into the blood!."
"If I was going to advise people to avoid a single ingredient in "low carb" products, it would be maltitol!. The other sugar alcohols range from a little to a lot better than maltitol, with erythritol being the best"

hey i wasn't sure either!. but i always made sure to eat lots of fiber lol!.

go down about halfway and you'll see the info!. it basically says that fiber is a type of carb, and it doesn't get used at all as it passes through the body!. so you would just subtract the fiber from the total carb on the label!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok, basically, net carbohydrates are the remainder when sugar alcohol and fiber is subtracted from the total amount of carbohydrates!. Fiber, as you may know, is not digested by the body, because our body does not have the proper enzymes to digest it!.

That is why fiber is useful in cleaning out your body, and specifically the colon, because it will stick to wastes in your body and then be excreted, carrying along the wastes out!.

So, yes, if you want to see how many carbohydrates your body is actually using, then subtract the amount of fiber in the food from the total amount of carbohydrates!.

Sugar alcohol is still digested by the body, so you would just want to subtract fiber to see the amount used by your body!. I'll try to answer your questions, lots of work from school though, so sorry if I don't answer a lot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
