How come i'm not losing weight?!

Question: How come i'm not losing weight!?
i've been on a diet for almost two weeks!. i eat 2000 calories a day (divided into two meals) and go to the gym to do an intense cardio workout for about 25 minutes almost everyday, burning about 500 calories!. i make sure the meals i eat are balanced too!.

i weight 305 pounds and am 5 ft 7 and quite muscular, although very fat too!. my bmr is 2600, so theoretically, with this workout i should be losing 2-4 pounds a week!. how come i'm not losing anything!?

i'm also not noticing any change in how my clothes fit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Diets do not address the main reason for obesity which is insulin insensitivity!. I could not lose weight for years!. I tried but I finally gave up and resigned myself to the fact that I would be fat for the rest of my life!. Click on the link below to read how my story changed (Is Your Scale Broken!?)!. I tried something called the Healthy For Life Program!. It is not about dieting!. It is about developing healthy lifestyle changes that result in weight loss!. They recommended something called a "Reset" kit to get me going!. I lost 5 pounds in 5 days without going hungry!. If your BMR is 2600 (per day), then your calorie maintenance level is higher than that!. BMR is as if you just sat still all day barely moving!. (It's your maintenance level per day, if you rested all day long!.)

You're eating 2000 calories a day, and burning 500 through cardio!. So you're getting a total of 1500 a day!. And you're maintenance level could be over 3000 (possibly over 3500 if you have a lot of muscle/strength)!.

Sounds to me like you are in starvation mode!.

I'd recommend reading my source!. It's a calorie calculator with explanation! There are actually several different calculators there, and the one that goes based on lean body mass is the most effective (assuming you know your percent body fat)!.
You only want a 1,000 calorie deficit tops!. Something around 500-750 would probably be better!.

500 deficit per day is 1 pound lost by the end of the week!. Trying to lose more than 2 pounds per week (1,000 calorie daily deficit) is unhealthy!. You can do more than that when you consider water-weight-loss, but not with fat!.

Also, it's generally better to eat 6 meals a day while trying to lose or gain weight!. Your body doesn't want 1000 calories all at once!.

I'm not exactly sure why you are not seeing any results but my advice to you would to be change the diet you are on its obviously not the right combination of foods!. Eat 5 to 6 times a day very small meals!. Don't worry about counting calories too much!. What most people don't know is that the more calories your body takes in the more your body burns! Just because you only eat 2,000 calories, doesn't mean that it is 2,000 healthy calories!. There could be a ton of saturated fat, hardly any fiber, hardly any protein etc!. So check that you are getting the right nutrients as well (although you said you are eating balanced, so this is a little odd)!. When you are 300+ lbs!. and on that kind of routine, I would expect you to lose weight weekly, but then again, it's only been 2 weeks, so make it a good month before you decide if your routine is working or not, if it isn't, try seeing your doctor or a personal trainer!. Hope this helped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It Doesnt Just Take 2 Weeks To Loose Weight It Takes Time ! When Your Bodys Used To It The Weight Will Start Driping OffWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not sure exactly why - it could have to do with your metabolism or the fat content of the food you're eating!. People often count calories, forgetting that it's not necessarily the NUMBER of calories, but where you get your calories from (carbs, fat, protein, etc!.) that makes a big difference!.

One other thing - eating several smaller meals will lead to faster weight loss than eating fewer larger meals!. Instead of eating two 1000 calorie meals a day, try eating four 500 calorie meals a day!.

The reasoning behind this is as follows: Your body adjusts to your eating habits!. If you eat only two meals a day, that means that there are longer period between meals and your body adjusts to this fact by storing more fat from each meal!. Essentially, your body is thinking "I know my next meal won't be for another 6 hours!.!.!. I should store all of this fat so I know I'll have enough for later"!. If you eat more meals (but smaller amounts at each meal) your body adjusts and thinks "I know I'll be fed again soon" and doesn't convert as many calories into body fat!.

Another thing - eating four 500 calorie meals per day (or, say, three 600 calorie meals a day, and 200 calories of healthy snacks) will leave you feeling more satisfied, and will likely be easier to maintain than only two meals a day!. The reason for this is as follows: Your blood sugar level spikes with each meal that you eat!. When it lowers again, your energy levels drop and you crave more food!. Spacing smaller meals out evenly through the day causes your blood sugar level to remain more stable, reducing the likelihood of "crashing" and feeling low energy (which could result in craving sugary foods, or wanting to skip out on exercising)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, 1-2 lbs over your ENTIRE body isn't much is it!.!.!. Neither is 4-6 lbs!.!.!. Not in two weeks!.

Loosing weight isn't an instant thing!. It takes a few weeks!. Plus you see yourself every day!. I couldn't really tell I was loosing weight at first!.!.!. But now that I am in my 11th week, I am down almost 17 lbs (16!.8 lbs)!. I can tell in my clothes now and when I look at my legs and arms, they look like they are getting toned!.

So, give it another week or two to see some results!. You may also want to drink more water and eat your calories over the course of your day!. Your body may be "holding" onto it for fear of starvation!. (so to speak) Why not do 800 and 800 and then do two 200 snacks (or light meals)!. That way your blood sugar is always up!.

It could also be what you're eating!.!.!. If its a lot of carbs, your body is going to burn through that first!. Not the fat on your body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
