Question: Okay I am 14yrs old and I need to know how long I can last without eating or drinking!. !?
I know it is really stupid doing this but I hate what I look like and so I am trying to change it!. I mean people are going to say eat healthy and exercise but what if you don't have those options!? Can anyone give me advice!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, the truth is!.!.!.when you starve yourself (even just skipping one meal) your body goes into something you can call "starvation mode!." Now, the next time you eat, your body will store it all- mostly as fat!. So, when you skip a meal in fear of gaining weight, you are actually gaining more weight by not eating!. Also, this slows your metabolism down a lot and in the long run can have lasting effects so that it will be easy for you to gain weight in the future!. I KNOW eating healthy is hard but there are a few very simple changes you can make in your diet tha may help you drop some weight!. Personally, I have a disease where I can not eat a lot of stuff- no more bread and pasta! AT ALL- I went for 135lbs to 106lbs in about 3 wks- I was also "sick" so do not expect such a quick change!. But Im sure you will see a noticable loss!. Also, make sure you eat when you are hungry! Fruit n Veggies are awesome cause your body cant really use much from them (ex!. we cant digest and use glucose)!. So, its just turned into waste and you wont gain weight!. Drink water too- water is vital because it keeps your system running and working properly!. O that reminds me- they say not to drink while you eat bc you will feel more full than you are and then be hungry again sooner!. So your water after you eat!

That's a very bad idea !. I don't believe you cant eat healthy come on if you can eat unhealthy than you can eat healthy just shop more at organic store if your too busyto do that then at least go over to the produce section get 6 grape fruits, 1 bag of grapes, at least 1 stalk of celery, lots of lettuce ( if your too lazy to do that lettuce and lots of other veggies come in tubs) !. Try jello pudding it only has 60 calories and lots of calcium and a small amount of protein ( good for dessert and or late night snacking) chips are high in fat and calories low in protein!. (Protein helps you stay full longer veggies, low fat yogurt, bannas all have lots) and if you didnt exercise you will gain gain gain weight, and probably get diabetes & end up in the hospital for liver failure and ruin your life you need 30 min of exercise 3 times a week at the bare least!. walk home if your 2 miles or less from the school or do jumping jack while you watch tv!. Remember the L!.E!.E!.P L for love yourself E for eat healthy E for exercise and P for patience L!.E!.E!.Pand no wonder you feel fat your compareing your self to size zero's !. Here are a few good role modles : Amrieca Frera big, stylish (not in ugly betty but in real life she goes through an hour of make up for that show!.) Beyonce she's big she eats healthy and works out every other day, Withny from last seasons Amreicas top mole shes a size 14 and still won!. Well, first of all let me say one thing!. You'll be more miserable not eating and drinking then just working out and eating healthy!. The hunger pains will kill, and the sickness will stink!. So anyways to answer your question, you could go about 4 days without eating and drinking, and about 2 weeks without eating!.

The truth!.!.!.!.!.!.sure exercising stinks, it really strains!. But it feels great! I just worked out today, and I hated it at first but let me tell you a little secret!. (shhhh!.!.!.!. don't let anyone hear!) I call it the ten minute rule, just try any workout for ten minutes, if you don't like it then that's just not what you want to do that day!. (The secret to this is that the adrenaline starts pumping and it doesn't stop until your don) So just go try playing outside for ten minutes! My personal preference!.!.!.!.!. soccer!

Sweetie, if you stop eating and drinking, your body will start to think it's starving (it is) and it will begin storing fat like you wouldn't believe!. Of course, once it goes through the fat, it will then work on dissolving your muscles!. Meanwhile, dehydration combining with the lack of food will begin to leave you light headed and weak!. You'll start to hallucinate and thinking will become next to impossible!. At the end, you will be unable to move and will be forced to just lay and wait for death as all your organs fail one by one!.

My father didn't eat hardly anything for several months!. He gained 20 pounds and a whole host of physical problems!.

Now, since that nonsense is out of the way, let's talk sense!. Eat more vegetables, less sweets and chocolate!. Fiber is your friend so beans and grains are good!. Eating too much bread will make you gain weight but a little is good!.

Exercise is something anyone can do, no matter who they are or where they live!. Start taking walks!. 15 minutes a day at first can make a big difference!. Get some soup cans, not necessarily the big ones, smaller ones will work fine for now!. Do reps with the soup cans 15-30 minutes every day!. Sit ups and push ups don't need special equipment, either!.

Physical infirmities aren't much of an obstacle, either!. I have a degenerative bone disease, damaged spine, two bad knees, arthritis, and fibromyalgia all at just 22 but I still manage to eat good and exercise!.
