Hey - gym question???!


Question: Hey - gym question!?!?!?
I work out 3-4 times a week for about 1 and a half hours a time!. I used to use the Maximuscle promax extreme protein shake, but i havn't used it again since i finished the last bottle!. I used the 3 scoops it suggested about 5-6 times a week at 30g each!.!.!.so it didnt last long, since it was a 2lbs (908g) bottle!.

I was wondering why maximuscle is so expensive!?, and is there any other brand which comes in a larger container!.!.but cheaper!.

Or should i stick with the maximuscle!.!.!.!?

Honestly, don't bother with ANY of them, bro!. I've been training for 17yrs now, and tried them all, and to this day, I can tell you that none of them have made any difference to the way I look today!.!.!. (if ur curious, this is me in the pic: http://i293!.photobucket!.com/albums/mm74/!.!.!.
Here's the reality of training!.!.!.
Youo train hard for 9 months, then you injure your knee whilst playing social football or whatever, you're laid up for 2 months while it heals, you get lazy mentally and physically while injured - you eat junk food a little more than usual and don't train for a few weeks, you gain weight and lose a little muscle, you get back into your training when ur injury heals and you get back to where you were before the injury!.!.!.!. all in the space of 6 months!. So basically, the money you spent on protein powder a year ago is gone, and so were the minimal benefits you made while using it!.

It's totally a marketing ploy, and believe me, you can make great gains without using any over-priced powders!. They're on every second page of FLEX and MUSCLEMAG, aimed at the over-keen young bodybuilder wannabe's out there!. But if you have to use one, get the cheapest on the market!. They're loaded with sugars, anyway, and half the protein you get comes from the milk alone!.
Just train hard and eat more REAL sources of protein, such as egg whites, tuna, chicken, and red meat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Benw is onto something with the BSN True Mass!. My 16 year old son used that over the summer and went from 210 lbs to 236 lbs (6'-4", so it was all muscle mass he gained)!. I personally, use the BSN Syntha-6 protein blend (I'm not on a mass gaining phase)!.
If price is a real object for you, try the standard whey protein sold at Wal-Mart!. It's $13!.95 for 2 lbs, has added BCAA's and creatine and glutamine and is an excellent protein source!. I'm not a big fan of the taste, but it is a very effective protein supplement!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

BSN TrueMass!.!. I can't say enough good things about it!. Google it and you can buy it online for really cheap!. It tastes great, mixes well, has an awesome protein content, and is loaded with vitamins and minerals so you won't have to worry about that either!. I'd strongly recommend it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
