It really depends on different things!. According to a doctor's chart, you would be considered underweight!. I think people should go according to their body type: small boned/med boned/large boned!.
Weight shouldn't matter anyways!. It's all in how you feel and if you are healthy!.
If I listened to a dr's chart, I would need to put on a few pounds and if you look at me, I don't look skinny at all (well I think anyways)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't depend on BMI, I don't even know why the system exists!. BMI fails to take muscle mass and metabolism into consideration!. The charts are also based on weights for an adult!.

You are definitely lightweight at that height and weight, but that may be due to a slight metabolism!. Are you eating enough!? Are you on a diet!? Are you trying to lose weight!?

If you are trying to lose weight at your current height and weight then that is completely unhealthy!. If you are consuming at least around 1,400+ calories (also depending on your activity level), then that's fine, you just have a fast metabolism!.

By the way, I know it is commonly agreed by most that 1,200 calories is the starvation point, but it varies for everyone!. Multiplying your body weight by 10 facilitates weight loss for the majority of people!. At your weight that would be 950 calories!.

However, you should try to gain weight, therefore, I would recommend 1,400+ calories, especially if you do exercise regularly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can be underweight and still be healthy!. As long as you eat well (and enough)!. This might just be your natural body weight!. The BMI states that your weight should be somewhere around 110-120 pounds, but that's based on average!.

However, it would never hurt to put on some muscle weight!. You will look better and feel better!. Trust me, take it from another skinny person!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Okay, here's the deal!.!.!.to figure out an approximate weight for your height, you multiply your height in inches over five feet by five and add 100!. So, someone 5'3" should weigh a minimum of 115 pounds!Www@Answer-Health@Com

No you do not need to lost weight!. It would be better to exercise which will make you healthier and eat normally!. Good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
