Question: I need to gain 10 pounds my doctor tells me!.!?
I am a little under weight and have rather bony shoulders!. Does anyone have suggestions as to how I can gain upper body muscle without gaining a pot belly!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Isn't it amazing that you can ask a question about gaining weight and some bone head will put up some spam about how to lose weight!? Unbelievable!

Any way, I would suggest two things

1!. Learn how to eat in a healthy way!. I use the Healthy For Life Program by Dr!. Strand!. It helped me with healthy lifestyle changes in my eating habits and exercise!. It concentrates on healthy living first instead of concentrating on weight!. Weight will take care of itself if you keep your concentration on health!.

2!. Exercise with kettle bells!. I know of nothing that will give you upper body strength faster!. Pick up a 20 pound weight at Target!. Many of them come with a DVD to explain how to do exercises!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You actually have made a good point!. It's never ok to eat a load of fatty food and chocolate, even if your underweight, this is still unhealthy and fatty content food will increase your risk of high cholesterol, whether your thin or fat!.
You need to sensibly increase your weight, try eating little and often throughout the day, Try including an 'Ensure' build-up drink (these or similar can actually now be brought in the Supermarket or obtained on prescription via your GP) You can have one of these a few times a day if your finding it hard to eat more food!. You need to get the balance right, if your eating to few calories in a day, your body will turn to storage fat and then essential muscle, which is dangerous!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I recommend drinking 2 pints of milk per day, like one in the morning and one in the evening!. (full dat milk ofcourse)!. Also up your intake of protein and eat as much protein in grams as you weigh in pounds!. For instance if you way 120 pounds, eat 120 grams of protein (fish, chicken, beans,pulses) each day!. I also recommend promax meal bars!. They are protein bars which come in either chocolate or chocolate and orange flavour and have 23grams of protein per 60 gram bar!.
