Question: How many calories are necessary for survival!?
Right now i weigh between 112- 115 it flunctuates slightly!. Last year around this time i weighed 102 pounds!. This concerns me greatly and i feel extremely self-conscious!. I am not comfortable with my body at all whatsoever!. I need to lose about 10 pounds maybe a few more!. I have been recording my calories and weight in a notebook!. When i add up the days it usually is around 500!. Should i lower that to lose weight!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Jennie, this needs to change!. As a women, you should try and never go below 1200 calories!. It wont do any good for your body, and you will find it even more difficult to lose weight!.

Eating at such abysmally low levels will get your metabolism plunging to the depths and will put your body in the starvation mode!. What this means is your Body will be clinging on to dear life to the fat in your body and refuse to burn, since it believes that it is not getting sufficient energy!. The moment you then try to eat more, you body tends to store more - because of the starvation effect!.

Here's what you should do to lose your 10 pounds in a healthy manner!.

1!. Based on your age, figure out your daily maintenance level or your Basic Metabolic Rate- you can do this easily online!.

2!. Your goal must be to aim for 500-750 (not more) calorie deficit each day through a combination of diet exercise!.

3!. Eat your breakfast!. Research shows that breakfast eaters lose more weight than those who do not!.

4!. Eat 4 -5 meals spaced out at intervals of 3-4 hours each day!. This keeps your metabolism chugging well throughout the day!.

5!. Once every week, do a high calorie or a high carb day!. Give into your cravings, have that pizza slice!. just to give your body a break from the dieting and help you to stay on the wagon!.

6!. Exercise is must, if you want to keep the weight off and not just be subject to the yo yo diet syndrome!. Cardio and Weight training - both forms of exercise must be included!.

The minimum anyone should have is about 1,200 calories!. 500 calories is only putting your body into a starvation mode!. Even a toddler should have 1100 calories a day, just to be healthy!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

that is not heathly, you should coinsider the amounts of calories you were consuming when you weighed 112 and lowering them by 500-750 then adding a 30-45 minute daily excercise routine this is a simple efective way to heathly lose weight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
