Question: I am so scared and sad please help me!!?
Okay so I've been trying to recover from anorexia for 6 months now after having it almost 2 years and it's been a failure!. I've always done more exercise than they've told me to, not followed the meal plans, etc!. Now they've told me this as of yesterday: I have to gain 2 pounds a week in the next four weeks or I have to go inpatient!. Last week I finally started to eat more, but I was still running 60 minutes a day and that gave me the sanity to go on and eat!. I even felt happy doing it! In fact, I was elated, just as long as I had my exercise!.

But now for a month the ONLY thing I can do is walk for 30 minutes a day!. I won't be able to row with the crew team or run at all!. Plus I have to eat a lot!. This is my daily meal plan for this week:

Meal 1: 1 protein bar, 6 slices turkey, 1 slice cheese
Meal 2: 2 eggs, 2 slices toast, 1 apple, 1 slice cheese
Snack: 1 tbsp!. peanut butter, 6 Ritz crackers
Meal 3: 2 slices bread, 6 slices turkey, lettuce, tomato, apple, cheese stick
Snack: 1/3 cup of trail mix
Snack: 1 Nature valley granola bar
Dinner: 1 Healthy Choice meal, 1 cup broccoli
Snack: 2 graham crackers, 1 protein bar, 1 tbsp!. of peanut butter

And that's just the first week!. In the weeks after that it gets even bigger!. I mean, I want to gain the weight, I really do, but I want it to be muscle and I'm worried that it won't be if the only exercise I can do is walking for 30 minutes!. Plus it makes me so depressed to think that a week ago I was running!. I tried to tell my nutritionist and doctor that I would eat whatever I had to to be able to run, but they won't let me!. A month just seems like an eternity and I can't stand the thought of feeling fat from everything I have to eat!. I'm going to do crunches everyday!.!.!.will this help me keep a flat stomach!? Any advice for the mental side of things!? Someone please help! With the holidays coming up, I just wanted the sanity that I get from being able to exercise and now Thanksgiving will roll around and I'll just feel like a bloated pig and not be able to enjoy it!. I want to run and do crew so badly, and I just feel so depressed right now; I'm crying as a write this!. Without my normal exercise, I don't know if I'll be able to concentrate in school, etc!. I'm sorry you're having such a hard time!. I know that it does get easier the longer you get into your recovery!.

As for the gaining weight part, not running won't make any weight you gain be fat instead of muscle!. In fact, eat a lot of protein to fuel your muscles so they can get stronger!. Crunches are good, and also leg lifts and push ups!.

I know its hard to deal with right now, but you CAN do it!. Are you able to run in secret!? As long as you gain the two pounds you should be able to run!. Just don't burn more calories than you eat!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I will say a prayer for angels to surround you and for God to heal you!. My sister used to be anorexic and she is better now!.

Go to the library and check out books on anorexia to understand why you are doing this!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to get your weight up, the doctors are very correct, you could really be ill if you keep that up, but not to worry, all you have to do is prove to the doctors that you can do it, a normal diet should be 2000 calories, if you eat around 2300 you will be able to start doing all the things your love again, I no its hard ive been though similar things and it all worked out for me!. i no you feel fat, but you have to think about the end goal, and for you it is your sport, for me it was for my girlfriend!. Cheer up, just listen to the doctors and you will be running very soon!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

okay, if you put on all the weight now then there is more to convert to muscle later!. think of it this way: food=fat=muscle!.

you have 2 do this for urself u said u want 2 gain the weight so do it 2 get healthy
do all u can during that 30 min wlk itll help i promise
now on the food section i think ur on the right track if u cant eat it all dont beat urself up
crunches will help
just think of the good itll do 2 u!!!
