Building Endurance Tips?!

Question: Building Endurance Tips!?
Hi there, I am 17 years old and have cerebral palsy which affects my legs!. They get tired easily and I can't run as fast as other people!. I am trying to help raise my endurance level!.

I go to the gym and walk on the treadmill, use the bikes, weights, etc!.

On the treadmill right now, I walk 2!.6 MPH for 10 min and then walk 2!.1 MPH for 5 minutes!. How long should I walk on the treadmill for and should I be walking at a high speed for the first portion of the workout and then decrease the speed!?

I go on a bicycyle right after!. I usually go on for 10 minutes but how long should I really go on for!? Does it depend on how long I use the treadmill!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
The thing i found out about endurance training is that its not about the speed your moving and the weight your pulling its about how many reps!. you do but in the case of working on your feet i would agree with beachgirl
you might want to try to set the incline of the tread mill up a little bit to help build muscle on your legs

when your ride your bike you should be aiming for around 30 mins but start low and work your way up, one other way to help build muscle on your legs is to pump up your speed on the bike for about 1 mins to 5 mins so your hart really starts pumping try to go twice as fast as you first wereWww@Answer-Health@Com

To build endurance, I would increase my time on both the treadmill and the bike by 3-5 minutes each week until you're able to do 30 minutes on each!. That would give you a 60 minute cardio workout, which would be great for your overall health!. If endurance is your main goal, you might even want to sacrifice speed if it enables you to stay on the machines longer!.!.!.good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
