Question: Help, what do i eat, i need more calories!!?
ok i need to eat 2,000 calories a day according to my nutritionist!. i am trying to eat healthy though, and from all the foods groups!. this is what i was planning on eating for tomorrow,

breakfast- 2 cups of kashi go lean cereal and !.5 cup of skim milk + 1 cup of coffee (black)

midmorning- south beach meal bar (i eat these because they have way more protein then a regular granola bar)

lunch- kraft south beach chicken cesar wrap kit and 1 box of raisins

afterschool snack- activia yogurt with granola and a banana + a carnation instant breakfast drink

dinner- 1/2 cup chopped chicken breast, 1 cup of broccoli, and 1 small baked potato!.

This is alot of food but it only adds up to 1775 calories! i need 225 more calories, but i am not hungry at any other point in the day!. is there anything i can add to my day to keep it healthy, but add some calories!? i need to eat the extra calories!.
i feel like im eating A TON, why isnt it adding up to much!.
is it healthy!.
help!

Your diet is pretty lean!. Adding healthy fats will not only help you reach your calorie goals, but they are an important part of your diet!. Adding a handful of nuts like almonds, cashews, or walnuts won't fill you up too much, and will add calories and healthy fat!. You could try stir frying your broccoli in an unsaturated oil like olive or canola, or have a little cheese on your potato!.

If you've recently started trying to eat healthy, you will probably feel like you eat a lot!. Healthier foods tend to be have a higher volume and lower calories!.

I do notice that your diet seems to be lacking some vegetables!. You only have three fruit and veggie servings, when you should be eating at least five!. (Potatoes are technically a vegetable, but they are so starchy that nutritionally, they are more like a grain!.) Fruits and veggies do tend to be filling and low calorie, so you'll have to add them in small doses if you're already filling up!. Try salsa and diced avocado on your potato, or a handful of carrots sometime during the day!.

Lastly, if you are eating good food and feel satisfied, it's possible that you might not need so many calories!. Nutritionists use their knowledge to calculate what most people need, but everyone is different and two people the exact same size, age, and activity level can still have different caloric needs!. make it a 4oz chicken breast at dinner that's an extra 75cals so 150 more make it 1 cup of milk in ur cereal and add a banana sliced up in the cereal or just eat one on the side that's it right there it's not like it's a ton more and ull feel good trust me try it! if not that add a glass of milk to ur mid morning snack and a banana that's 200cals extraWww@Answer-Health@Com

drink sugary drinks with your snacks!. not like soda but sugary fruit drinks!. i know it feels like you're eating a lot of food but thats because it is but its ok because its healthy!. its not adding up to much because its healthy!. most people get cals from junkWww@Answer-Health@Com

make yourself a huge fruit bowl!. one large apple is about 100 calories!. so maybe an apple, a pear, bunch of grapes, some strawberries, apricot!. really whatever you like, as long as its fresh fruit!. throw this in as a desert!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
