All Women gym... is cattiness the usual?!
Question: All Women gym!.!.!. is cattiness the usual!?
I recently joined an all women gym!. I stay at home with my kids all day and love getting out to exercise and listen to "adults" converse!. I've noticed that many of these ladies stand around and talk much of the time and when I smile or try to strike up a conversation, I will get a look like "why are you talking to me!?" Many of them seem to know each other (probably members for a long time) and I'm just wondering if this is typical of an all women gym!. I am debating on whether to join a co-ed gym nearby or if that would be a worse decision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would go to the Co-ed gym!. The gym I was a member of had an all women's section and I hardly ever went up there because they were all beeyotches!. But it was wayy better downstairs with the Co-ed group!. They too are there to talk and workoutWww@Answer-Health@Com
Co-ed gyms can sometimes get you into trouble!.!.!.!. There are some people there to do nothing more than pick you up!.!.!.!.
As far as the all women gym!.!.!. I'm betting they have their own little "click" so to speak and aren't keen on inviting others!. Don't worry about it!. Just head on to the next woman and you may find out that she is friendly!.
What can I say, not all people are open and friendly with much of anyone!. My husband wont strike up a conversation with much of anyone and then complains that he doesn't have many friends!. I keep trying to tell him that he needs to just be a bit more out going!.!.!. So keep that in mind when you run into that type of person!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have never used an all-women's gym!. The all-women Muay Thai class I teach is not catty at all, but it takes a great deal of discipline to train in Muay Thai in the first place!. I can say that it is fairly typical of women to act catty, unfortunately!. I am very selective when it comes to female friends because that is the case!. Most women are not taught to cooperate with other women, they are taught to compete with other women for the attention of men!. Many women are conditioned that their only value in life is to obtain a mate and produce children; or at least they are conditioned to believe it is more important than anything else!. It is this kind of societal conditioning, and the way that female children are raised, that creates a lack of cooperation among women!. It causes most women to focus primarily on their physical appearance and to consider unnecessary and dangerous surgeries!. But I digress!.
I'm sure if you find the right gym you'll find the women there to be more concerned with getting their workout than being catty!. I would shop around and watch a few classes quietly from the corner to get an idea of the atmosphere!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
