Answers:
How much weight would you like to lose!?

Anyway, even if you can't buy healthy foods, try to eat lots of fruits and vegetables!. Cut down on meat and milk, and read food labels!. Eat only 1500 - 2000 calories a day!. The words "portion control" mean a LOT to weight loss - junk food isn't off limits as long as you eat only a tiny bit of it!. Stay away from things like TV dinners and canned soups, vegetables, etc!. because these have a lot of sodium in them!.

Work out a LOT - ask your dad, brothers, friends, neighbors, etc!. if you can use their workout equiptment!. Go to garage sales or go on craig's list and buy a boflex for cheap!. Work out every day, and don't push yourself too much!. If you work yourself too hard, you can hurt yourself and then you won't be able to work out for a few days - so you take steps back!.

Good luck, God bless you for deciding to defend America!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Going to the gym doesn't have to be expensive!. Ask you friends, usually their gyms offer them free guest passes that they can give out to friends!. On top of that many gyms give you a 30 day free period!. Cheapy places like Bally's are pretty affordable if you don't get talked into anything fancy like personal training (which will get you talking reaaaallly expensive membership prices)!.

There's always the option to run on your own time and do calisthenics!. In the military they believe in training using your own body weight!. That's why pushups and pull ups are so popular!.

I would try looking up some workouts using no weights like ab workouts!.!.!. also try cycling!! Biking gets you into crazy good shape, I should know, I'm a semi-pro!Www@Answer-Health@Com

For your Height you need to get down to 190lbs!.

And that is the Maximum you can weigh from the age of 17-20!.

I will be honest here, I am not sure this is a good idea!. Frankly the U!.S!. Army standards are a bit too strict when it comes to people of your size!. The problem is that they can not make an exception for you!. They are bound by regulation to a strict height/weight measurement!. If you do not make this weight for your height, you will be held back in basic training, and be prevented from receiving promotions after that!.

I am an Army Veteran of the Gulf War myself, so I know what it means to serve!. Your size is a disadvantage though!.

If you are hell bent on serving then at least try to get close to 190 before you sign any paperwork!. If 190 is too hard for you to maintain because your body just is not built that way, it will bring you nothing but pain in the Army!.

That Said, I am proud that you would even consider serving!.
