Are you supposed to workout until sore?!

Question: Are you supposed to workout until sore!?
I have just started working out again!. In the past, I used to work out until I was sore for days!. My body got tired and worn out, and I got sick a lot!. Now that I'm starting again, I don't feel any soreness, maybe a little exhausted a while after the workout!. Is this good!? Are you supposed to workout until really sore!? What's the best way to get a workout and not overdo it, and if I don't feel any soreness, am I still getting a good workout!? I was sweating and out of breath!.

Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Any soreness or pain in your body is a warning to you that you've hurt your body!. But that doesn't mean it's bad!. When you're exercising, there's always the degree to which you exercise!. To effectively build muscles, you've got to 'hurt" them, because muscles grow when you tear them, then they rebuild!. That's why body builders always take such huge protein supplements, because as they exercise to the extreme, their muscles tear, and the huge amts of protein ingested will help their muscles to repair quicker!.

So if you're exercising and you're getting sore, that's not so bad!. But those muscles do have to rest and rebuild!. Like everyone is already saying, you're probably overworking yourself!. What you should do is to exercise certain muscles one day, let them rest the next, and exercise other muscles, rotating every other day or few days, so that the muscles have a chance to rest and repair!.

You also need to make sure that your diet is proper for as much workout as you are doing!. Make sure you've got enough protein to help rebuild the muscles and also enough proper carbs to also help provide energy!. Some fats are also good, because they help the calorie burning process!. A completely fat-free diet is NOT good, it's not natural!.

Just dial back how extensively you were working out, seek to get "just a little bit" sore, and rotate the muscles you work out, so they can relax and repair!.

Since you overworked yourself so much at first, you might already be better conditioned since you've started up again!. I knew a young man who ran 5 miles every morning, for months!. Then his doctor told him his muscles were not in good condition!. But that's because he'd plateau-ed on his workout, he wasn't pushing himself, he wasn't stressing the muscles to get better!.

So just be careful!. Anytime you start to get feeling bad, that's an immediate sign that you've gone too far!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best way to get back into it is to gradually get into your workouts!. You shouldn't work out to the point where you are sore for more than 2 maybe 3 days!. Even then you should still be able to workout when you are sore!. Unless you are just doing cardio / fat burning you should be getting a little sore after your workouts, otherwise it doesn't mean you pushed yourself hard enough to get results!. There's a fine line, moderation is the way to go!. If you have no idea what you're doing get a personal trainer to help you set up a plan once they see where your at!.

Sore to the point where it's hard to walk should only be after you did the event you were training for!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your body probably has a lot of lactic acid buildup from not working out for a while so when you start up again your threshold is not as good as it was before!. When you work out your body breaks down and there is lactic acid buildup as well which causes you to be sore!. So the more you have a routine of working out the more of a lactic threshold you will have!. Here's a good plan of attack when starting back into working out!. You want to gradually lift weights like your warming up for a few sets per exercise!. You do not want to over do it with trying to lift heavy right off the bat!. You basically want to have some blood pumping into the muscle!. I would start with doing 3-4 sets per exercise and doing 3 exercises per bodypart just to get started in the next week or two!. Then you could probably start increasing weight, and sets!. You will be sore when getting back into the swing of things but that's normal!. Just keep going and eventually the soreness will cease and you will be able to work out longer and harder without being sore for days!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you haven't been exercising for a while, it is a good idea for you to start to work out slowly!. Don't work to where you were before you stopped exercising, as you need to get your body back to where it was before you stopped!. If you need more information, consult with a personal trainer, and they will be able to suggest some strategies for you to achieve your goals!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

As long as your heart is pounding and your sweating your doing good! its not neccessarily good to be so sore from a workout cuz i know when i over do it and get sore, i dont exercise the next day!. but if i do enough to get me tired and worn out for the day then the next day im ready to get back up and do it again!

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

People should get 30 to 60 min of exercise a day!. You dont need to overdue it!. You dont need to go until your sore!. The day after your workout you should be feeling a little sore but thats just your mucsles breaking down!. And when you get sore the next day do a small workout or none at all!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

any activity for 20 minutes is enough for a workout!. I wouldn't go over an hour unless you are training for a half marathon or longer!. DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) happens 24-48 hours after working out so do not expect to be sore right away!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should start working out at 10 mins a day for few days, and slowly build up the time and eventually your strength!. Being sore is completely normal, but I wouldnt suggest over doing it !.!.!.!.Give your body time to adjust!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
