I am going to assume here that you might be asking because of concerns about somebody's weight!.

There are some guidelines for this, but I would like to make a comment to give you something to think about also:
instead of body weight, try to think in terms of body composition!.

Body composition means % of bodyfat to lean muscle mass!. Sometimes (if you watch sports) you might hear someone say that a certain athlete (male) is only 5% bodyfat, for example!. That is body composition!. Females will always be at least 15% body fat even when quite lean and fit, unless they are sick,starving, anorexic or something!.

(Males can get as low as a few % bodyfat and still be healthy because males have fewer body storage areas for fat due to no biological need to be able to bear children at some point in life!.)

Here is the important difference to you: many times when girls feel that they are overweight their first impulse is to diet for a few weeks, trying to lose weight!. When they succeed they think that they are now healthier because of losing weight!. However many times (esp!.if they were dieting and not upping their fitness and exercise) they will have actually decreased their lean muscle mass along with losing some fat!.

The problem is that as soon as the diet is over and they begin to eat normally (remember, they are now HUNGRY too) they begin to regain the weight After a couple of months they have more bodyfat % and less lean muscle mass % than they started with, because they are regaining the fat but not the nuscle!.

Here is the point: don't worry too much about what the scale says unless you know your bodyfat %!. This can be measured in a couple of ways, bu the easiest way to gauge is how your clothes fit!. If your clothes are fiting easier then you are improving lean muscle mass and losing ft, even if the scale doesn't change!.

The ironic thing is that "lean" muscle weighs more than fat, so it is actually possible for someone to increase exercise, lift weights, lose body fat, look 10 times better (think of the super-fit performers and celebrities who hire personal trainers to help get fit for a role or photo shoot), and yet actually weigh more than before!.

If you are still growing (you're 15) that makes it a bit harder to tell also, whether you are making progress or not!.

The pattern for losing weight is not difficult - eat less food and move more often - the difficulties arise when we really try to put that into practice! u should have posted ur weight now but for 5'7 female the best weight would be between 135-170 pounds!. and thats the weight for being healthy, i am not talking about what weight will make u look sexier!. if u wanna SEE a fit weight for ur height look at the females in the armed forces( army, navy, marines, airforce, coast guard) because about 99% of them are fit females!. Hmmm, well I'm 5'8 and weigh 170!.
I have some hips on me!.
And a flat stomach!. And muscle!.
So I think that if your 5'7 age 15, it should be about 155-160!.
