Question: How does a preteen lose 10-15 pounds!?
I'm like 95 pounds and I want to lose 10 - 15 pounds but I don't know what to do!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yvonne you already did that chart thing i sent you, it said that you were normal!. just exercise a a lot more, walk more, jog a little, jumprope, take rachel for a walk!.(just kidding!) this will make you feel healthy!. you're tall, i'm sure you'll be fine!.

edit: and lay off the hot cheetos for now; it's like everyday any brings some horrible junk food to school! and remember, eat healthy!

hmmm if you're a preteen and only weigh 95 pounds i'm sure you're okay!. Plus you'll probably grow more (you didn't include your height) so your wieght will dispense more evenly!. that said, while you shouldn't try to lose weight, it is a good idea to eat healthy so that you don't put on more weight then you need to as you grow older!. So eat lots of vegetables and fruits, well balanced dinners and try to stay clear of chips and cola except or special occasions!. drink lots of water!. if for ever reason you are overweight, at your age you should be treated by a professional dietician and your doctor should also be monitoring you!. Researchers recommend that a weight loss of 1-2 pounds a week if a safe weight loss!. Any more than that and one is really "just" losing water and muscle (and muscle ultimately helps to burn fat at rest)!. Physical activity that gets the heart pumping (cardiovascular/cardio) helps to burn calories and a person needs to burn more calories than they consume!. Strength training such as hand weights/dumbells helps to build the muscle!. They say to only do that every other day as to give the muscles a rest and lessen the chance of injury!.

I have a strong feeling that you shouldn't try to loose those pounds, you're already quite slim, it seems!. I can't imagine a preteen needing to weigh 80 pounds, unless you're 4ft nothing!. Even still, that's pushing it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
