Question: I am 50yrs old, do treadmill 35mins per day but i dont sweat, why!? !?
I do 35 mins at the speed of 5 or 5!.5 and go a distance of 2!.5 km or so!. I find doing more than this a little difficult at the moment as I started this routine only about 3 weeks ago, my legs begin to pain and I get tired!. how much more should I push myself!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

With that speed you won't sweat, it is just a normal walking speed!.
But because you are new to this, this speed is a good speed to begin with!. Normally you start with 20 min!. After a few day's add an other 5 min!. When you go for 30 min!. you might go a bit faster!. If you feel comfertable with it go a bit faster again!. When you are up to 6km, walk 5 min!. and keep doing that every few day's!. When you are at 45 min!. and you feel ok, add some more speed!. You will find that you will start sweating!!

I am a 57 year old female and walk about 45 to 60 min!. At the speed of 6!.7!. A few years ago I walked 1!.5 hour at the speed of 7!.km p!.h and did 10 km!. I felt great!. But then we moved house and I was bussy with the renovation of our house, did not have time to walk on the treathmill, just picked it up again and started with 20 min!. at 5!.5 and now do 6!.6 for about 45 or 60 min!. And yes, I gould feel some pains in my leggs aswel!. But that will go away after a little while!.

Assuming you don't have a heart condition or serious health problems, it would be best if you got yourself a heart rate monitor and use your heart rate to help you judge how far you should push yourself!.

For aerobic exercise, it is usually advised that you pulse stays between 60% and 80% of your max heart rate (which should be 170, given by the standard formula: 200-age)!.

That means doing exercise which keeps your pulse between 102 and 136 beats per minute!.

Obviously you do not sweat because there is not much water in your body!.Take four glasses of water everyday the moment you get up in the morning!.Do not take anything for at least one hour after that!.You can push yourself to whatever is your limit which could be different on different days depending on your mood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok first of all make sure you do all the basics like stretching and drinking lots of water you may just be under-hydrated!. however the pain is probably just due to lack of previous exercise, however if it happens when you are not exercising, then go and see a doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

I think 35mins to do 2!.5ks is too long, i walk 5ks on the streets, hills in 30 mins!.!.!.just up your speed, so the heart gets really pumping, you'll sweat for sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
