Question: Whats the best way to lose 40 lbs!?
I am trying to lose 40 lbs hopefully by Christmas!. I stopped eating bread and pasta!. I also drink only water and do 30-45 mins on my elliptical at night!. Any other suggestions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

40lbs is a lot of weight to lose by Christmas!. I thing you should give yourself more time!.

I managed to lose 48lbs in just over 6 months!. That was two and a half years ago!. I have since then been able to maintain my weight with ease!.

Try to eat a balanced, low fat diet of:-
Lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables (including potatoes, pasta, rice and bread - but making sure you keep all carborhydrates plain and simple!. They are extremely low in fat and a great source of energy!. Low fat dairy products, skimmed milk, sugar free beverages, and non sugary cereals!.

Try to include more whole foods into your diet!. Such as brown bread, brown rice, brown pasta, beans and pulses!. These are high in fiber and will keep you feeling fuller for longer!.

DO keep all junk foods, ready made processed meals you buy in the supermarket, alcohol, sugary drinks, and takeaway meals to an ABSOLUTE minimum!. These are high in refined sugar and full of saturated fat!. The two main ingredients which are responsible for that extra weight gain!. Junk food is just what it says - JUNK!. With one added ingredient in - FAT!.

TRY to MOVE as MUCH as YOU CAN!. EXERCISE will accelerate your weight loss!. Exercise is beneficial regardless of your diet!. However, 80% of your physique is a result of what you eat!. 20% is exercise!.

Make sure you have three regular meals a day!. Always starting with breakfast, and fewer snacks!.

Snack on fresh fruit in between meals!. Control your portion sizes!.

I kept a food journal/diary of what I ate!. This is an excellent way to acknowledge what you eat and be proud of your accomplishments!.

You have a life to live and enjoy!. So hang on to the satisfaction of being a comfortable, healthy weight you can sustain!.
