I don't understand this about sit ups....?!


Question: I don't understand this about sit ups!.!.!.!.!?
I've heard from some people that sit ups are good to lose weight off the stomach and other people all it does is turn it more muscular!. If someone has joint problems and can't run and doesn't want to build muscle, then what would be the most efficient way to lose weight from the stomach area!?

Both answers preceding mine are right!. You simply need to cut down on your caloric content -- okay, maybe not that simple -- but start with reducing the calories in the evenings, you should see a slow reduction!.

For toning the abs when you have joint problems, do mini-crunches!. Lie on your back, cross your arms across your chest on the opposite shoulders, and flex your stomach muscles as if you were going to sit up -- but don't!. Hold this position for 8 or 10 seconds and repeat until you feel the burn!.

Doing this nightly will add shape to your tummy and burn a few calories without straining your lower back or risking injury to your joints!.

well sit ups are good to lose weight off the stomach if you are already quite thin, they make your stomach lose all the excess flab and they make it toned!. i think jogging is the best way to lose weight from the stomach area, you might find it hard the first few times but then after a while it gets easier and it seems more like a hobby!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you do not want to build muscle or you have restraints doing strenuous exercise, best to watch your diet!.

Also, have a good posture everytime!. I read that our bad posture is the major culprit for love handles to start developing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

in a word!.!.!.Diet!. you can't demand your body to lose weight from a specific place!. It has it's own pattern of loss and gain!.

Good news is that running isn't the only exercise!. Buy a bicycle, or even better a temperature controlled poolWww@Answer-Health@Com
