Congratulations on all your successes so far!.

The gym will give you a buzz due to the endorphins mentioned by the other answerer but you must have a program and some specific goals to keep yourself on track!.

I completely agree with the other answerers about getting a personal trainer!. If you can afford it (with all that money you're saving by not smoking and drinking), you should keep this person on indefinitely but if not, it's still worthwhile having someone for a few weeks and then every now and again after that to set you on the right path and teach you correct techniques on all the machinery!. That means you will avoid injury and you'll get better results!.

One approach is to not worry about your absolute weight and concentrate on losing fat!. If you do some weight training (under supervision at first to learn correct techniques), you will gain a little muscle, not enough to bulk up but muscle tissue burns fat even when inactive (like an idling car engine) and it is denser than fat tissue!. As a result, your weight may stay the same but you will lose inches and your body will be tighter!.

I could go on for ages but there really isn't the time and this isn't the place writing whole textbooks of information!. Get the most out of your personal trainer - information on training and nutrition!.

GOOD LUCK!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey

Well done for giving up smoking and the drink!.

As for gym, you're prob best sticking to cardio for a bit if you're goal is to lose weight!. Why don't you speak to an instructor next time you're in the gym for them to show you how to work the machines, they'll also be able to work out you're work out plan!.

good luck xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Exercise releases endorphins and endorphines make you happy so going to the gym is great you should organise for 1-2 personal training sessions per week and get in and do as much cardio as you like drink plenty of water and try to completely cut bad fats out of your diet eat fruit and vegetables and steamed fish, chicken etc just by cutting out fat and doing exercise you should start to notice results quite quickly!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Firstly, congratulations!. You have very strong will-power!. I bet you will succeed in reaching your target weight!.
Ok, take things easy at the start!. Don't pressure yourself in using all of the Equipment to hard!. Take things slowly and gradually build your way up on them!. Maybe start off doing 8 Min's on the Treadmill, 8 Min's on the exercise bike etc!. Make sure you drink plenty of water and stretch your muscles before and after the gym!.And best of luck to you!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

check out stuff on youtube!. each day, work out one body part for 10-20 minutes and then go ride the bike or eliptical machine for 30 minutes!. don't run yet!. walk if you want!. the stress on your joints needs to be low so your tendons can adapt!. beware of "trainers!." they'll have you do so much weird stuff that does nothing for you in the long run, and they'll charge you tons!. you've already come very far, and i think you know that!. keep it up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

first thing you do you get an instructor to start you off with wyour exercises and then he or she will get you started on some of the machines ,you follow their lead do not get on anything without their permission thats what they are there for you can hurt youself severely by doing thing on your own that your not used too ,so please alway do what your instuctors are telling you and no more Www@Answer-Health@Com

a low GI diet is sooooo good and it gives you lots of energy ie!. good for working out! another thing is taking calcium and magnesium helps with the aches and pains from working out! alot of people get addicted to gyming because of the high it puts you on!. aerobics, spinning classes and treadmill to burn fat before toningWww@Answer-Health@Com

book a personal trainer for a few sessions that way you can get familiar with the machines and a program to work fromWww@Answer-Health@Com
