Question: I'm dieting and REALLY want to eat a Cuban for lunch!. Should I!?
I've been dieting for about 3 weeks and I've been pretty good!. A girlfriend I work with went to a new restaurant and had a Cuban yesterday!. Now, I dying to try one! What should I do!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

I hope you mean that you'd like to eat a Cuban meal and not an actual Cuban!

Joking aside - you can still lose weight while eating out in a restaurant as long as you choose your meal carefully!.

I don't know what is in a Cuban meal so I'll give general advice for eating out in restaurants!.

Control your portions - have a smaller portion size!.

Avoid deep-fried foods or foods that contain a lot of fats!.

If you're having a dessert why not have just one and share it with your friend - that way you are not eating so much!.

Choose something with lots of vegetable if possible!.

Opt for vegetarian food but if you really like meat then chicken and turkey or fish are lower in calories!. Lamb and pork are high in fat and calories!.

Spicy food can be good for you as it raises the metabolism and helps you burn fat!.

Go out and enjoy yourself and don't feel guilty!

If you do overdo it a bit - don't worry - exercise a bit more the following day to burn some of it off!.

Watch out for the alcohol!

I say go for it!. Why don't you walk to the restaurant though!? Walk to get your heart beat up, so you are burning calories while you are walking!. Eat slowly and enjoy your food (that way you'll eat less and you'll have lunch for tomorrow (leftovers))!. Afterwards, sit with whom ever you go with and digest a while then go for a brisk walk home (or work)!. That is what my fiance and I do when we go for dinner!

well i dont know what a cuban is but sur why not!. treat yourself!. just because you are dieting dont mean you should deny yourself!. perhaps just eat some of it!? just to taste it!.!.!.enjoy it savor it!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you should!. Give yourself a break sometimes, like, once per week!. You're doing a great job with dieting, so it's good to reward yourself!. Go to the resturant and enjoy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
