Am I cutting to much sugar from my diet?!

Question: Am I cutting to much sugar from my diet!?
Hey guys, I have a little question for you!. I'm a healthy 19 year old guy I work out regularly and I practice Karate twice a week!. I try to eat as healthy as I can I eat lot's of proteins fruit and I drink alot of Milk and Water!. Lately I've stepped it up a notch and I'm realy trying to stay away from sugar!. I don't eat candy I don't take sugar in my tea etc!. The only sugar I get is from the milk I drink and from the carbohydrates in my food!. Lately I've gotten a strange side-effect, after workouts I'm realy thirsthy , so thirsty I feel like I can keep drinking, the thirst doesn't go away for like 15 minutes after i've drunken several glasses!. Now what I want to know is, can this be a side effect from low levels of blood sugar, and is it possibly dangerous!? I realy want to eat as healthy as I can but is it possible I need to eat more sugar since I work out alot!? Thanks in Advance, RickWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Blood glucose is the primary fuel source for basically any bodily process, and is used exclusively for the central nervous system!. When you are working out your body relies on this blood glucose (as well as liver glycogen) to fuel your working muscles!. Since there is a limited supply of muscle glucose, glucose from the blood is used as a first option!. Consuming an inadequate amount of CHO (carbohydrates) can be detrimental to your performance and cause Aldosterone (hormone) to proceed in the re uptake of sodium (Na+)!. Sodium is often added in sports drinks such as Gatorade and helps to maintain the Na+/K+ balance in the body!. Also, sodium can cause an athlete to feel more thirst than just drinking normal water could resulting in more fluid consumption!. The sodium retention you are causing is most likely the cause of your increased need to consume fluid post workout since it is not being excreted properly!. Also, CHO are stored with a large amount of water so your body is probably trying to conserve the little CHO you do have and allow it to be stored with extra water!. Your low blood sugar is causing an insulin spike and leaving insulin levels elevated can cause inefficiency in the delivery of CHO for both the blood and muscle!. Consuming more CHO should do the trick for you!. Remember to get a high sugar CHO after working out, chocolate milk is perfect post workout!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not a doctor, but i think maybe it is!. We learned that in health class and you should atleast have one fruit a day since they are natural sugars!. That's mostly what gatarade is for, to equal out certain level in you body, carbohydrate, sugar!.!. etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is there anything else in you diet that has changed!? (Not enough vitamins, not enough iron!.!.!.), what about stress!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
