A lot times its genetic, also it could be your diet!. Your metabolism plays a huge role, its seems you have a fast metabolism!. Try a high protein diet and work out!. If your just starting out I wouldn't over do it!. Start with 5-10 pound weights, you want a lot of reps!. Once you get the correct form and proper lifting techniques you can add more weight!.
