I'm thirteen and weigh 116? How to lose weight?!


Question: I'm thirteen and weigh 116!? How to lose weight!?
My dad always says I'm fat, and that I'm the Chocolate Machine!. It's really making me depressed!. I know I am chubby, even my mom, who leaned over my crib to see if I was breathing, says I'm chubby!.

I didn't think I was until they started mentioning it!.

I'm only five feet, and I weigh 116!. My friend is 5 '4 and weighs 156, but she looks really really good!.

So lately I've been depressed, and I can't think straight!. I've tried dieting, but I can't resist those Doritos! I just want to get skinnier, like the 90210 stars!. I need to be skinny!.


What are good ways to lose weight!? I'm going to start running, because it's getting nice out in Texas!. I'm not in Athletics or P!.E!.

Please help me get skinny!

I went through that as a child!. All my sisters were so skinny and I was called every fat name in the book!. They all had me thinking I was really fat!. I was called, blimp, blob and my brother used to tell me to turn around so he could see where they printed the "Goodyear"!. When I go older, my dad!. who was a professional photographer, had a slide show of us kids when we were young!. That's the first time I realized I wasn't fat at all, They were all to skinny and to them, I looked fat!. I went my entire life believing I was fat!. People can really put some bad thoughts in your head when "fat" is said all the time, to the point that you look in the mirror and don't see the real you, just a fat person!. You know what!? I am the skinniest one in my family now!. All those skinny girls I grew up with are now very overweight!. The only difference is my parents never called me names or said I was fat!. Your parents are not helping you by calling you fat!. You say you can't stay off Doritos, well substitute fruit, or raw veggies and I know you don't want to hear it, but at 13 and 5'4" you really are NOT fat!. Sorry, but it's the truth!. Tell your parents how they hurt your feelings by saying those things!. Sometimes parents and family or friends will say those things thinking it will make you eat less, but it only works in the reverse!. Don't give in!. Eat sensibly!. You must see others in your shcool a lot bigger than you at 13!. Come on, YOU ARE NOT FAT!.

You said two key things that stood out to me!. One of them is "my whole family thinks I'm fat" the key word is that they THINK you are!. You are putting a lot of value in thier thoughts!. But, then you ignore your own!. You said that you didn't think you were until they mentioned it!. SO!.!.!.don't value someone elses opionon over your own!. My family called me names from the time I was 13 and it got so bad, I kept eating and eating and had some very real problems!. All my life I have had to battle my weight because I thought I was fat!.!.!.my family told me I was, told me I should eat less, told me I should go to fat camp!. I was about your size too ( cant remember specifically)!. If you want to feel better!.!.!.!.drink lots of water, eat lots of veggies and grains, nuts and lean protien (chicken, tuna!!)!. Skip the sweets (or very sparingly), pasta, bread, potatoes etc!. Do pushups, situps, lift light weights!.!.!.be active!! :) Www@Answer-Health@Com

Im 11 and way 90 and I look good but I feel so fat!.

I am skinny, but i feel fat!. I feel like I can't run like I used too!. And i eat when i'm bored!.by 13 im probaly going to be like 130 =(!.

Just DONT DONT DON'T stop eating!. the best thing you can do is excercise, eat healthy (maybe instead of eating dorritos, have an apple)!. I ride my bike 2 miles a day to get me in shape

And try to figure out the difference of eating because your hungry, or eating because your bored!.
