What exactly is lean meat or lean fish?!


Question: What exactly is lean meat or lean fish!?
I always hear it's healthier to eat lean meat or fish but I don't know exactly what that is!? Whenever I go to the grocery store, they all look the same to me and I don't see the word "lean" anywhere!.!.!. so can you please be specific as to how to tell it's lean meat/fish!.!.also, is baking the best way to eat lean meat/fish!?

Also, what is the healthiest, tastiest way to cook tofu!? And what type of tofu should I buy so it's healthy!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lean meat is turkey and chicken with the fat and skin removed!. To some people lean cuts of pork and beef are OK but if you want to be strict about it, no beef or pork is totally lean!. Also chicken if you eat the dark meat its really hard to get rid of all the fat so white meat is leaner!. The best way to prepare the meat is to boil it and drain all the liquid because that removes the fat!. Baking and grilling is OK too!. You have to add a bit of oil to fry it but thats OK because vegetable oil is fine!. Just don't bread or deep fry it!.

For tofu, if you can, go to an Asian market where they make their own, otherwise just get the freshest you can!. Change the water its packed in every 2-3 days until you use it and it will taste a little better!. It tastes best when marinated and then pan fried in a little oil with a lot of seasonings!. Firm tofu cut into small pieces, like the size/shape of canned bamboo shoots, works nice for stir fry!. I don't know if its healthiest but its the most pallatable way I have found to eat it!. Personally I don't care for it in any method and have gone to using whole beans instead!. Frozen soybeans (edame) are sold everywhere now and are so much easier to work with than tofu!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lean meat/fish,has less fat than ordinary meat!.This is done by trimming the visible fat from the meat/fish!.The fat in fish is a good fat and needed by the body/brain for good health!.The fat in meat is animal fat and is not good for your arteries and heart,so the less fat in the meat the better!.
Best thing to do with tofu is dont buy it, horrible stuff!.But if you must buy it try using it in place of chicken in curry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
