Question: True or false: Canned fruits and vegetables are just as healthy as fresh!?
I always thought fresh was healthier but I read somewhere that canned is just as good!. What do people think!? And why!? Thanks to everyone! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

IMO not true!. First off a lot of the compounds in the fruit have broken down during the heating of canning!. Second, they often add sugars, which definitely are not as good for you as pure fruit!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, because all the good nutrients are in the stem and such, and they seep out after time, through the washing process, and sitting around in brine in the can!. that's why people prefer organic so much, not only because it tastes better, but also because it's better for you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

False!. Not only are most canned fruits/vegetables preserved in syrups that contain higher calorie/carbohydrate amounts, but also, they contain preservative chemicals that aren't good for you!.
