Answers:
Yes, especially foods that are higher in fiber!.
Fiber in your diet will give you a feeling of fullness after you eat!. I am assuming that this is what you mean by slowing down the metabolism!. Foods that are low in fiber will leave your stomach quicker than foods are higher in fiber!. When your stomach empties quickly, you will feel the need to eat again!. So try to get close to 20-25 grams of fiber per day!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Liquids are digested and the nutrients they contain are more quickly absorbed than those in solid foods!. There is really not a lot you can do to affect your metabolism though!. That is primarily determined by your genetics, and your thyroid function, neither of which you have any influence over!. If you exercise, you do increase the demand for energy though, and it does tend to speed up a bit!. If on the other hand, you become a couch potato there are not the same demands for energy production, and things do tend to slow down a bit!. The body works best with a diet of real foods, eaten in small meals spread over the waking day- which provide a steady burn!. That's better for you in the long run that periods of feast and famine, with the highs and lows of blood sugar that occur!. You also were not designed for a primarily liquid diet!. Your stomach will wonder where your teeth went, and your colon function will be sluggish!. The system is designed to be moving, after all, and it is difficult to maintain a person's health on a totally liquid diet!. And as you age, the metabolism, like everything else, tends to slow down naturally!. In the meantime, if you can stay slender and eat a lot, enjoy the time- because it likely won't stay that way forever!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Eat foods that consist mainly of cellulose, ie vegetables !. Your body cannot break them down as easily, therefore you wont absorb it into your body as lipids (fats)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

excercise
