Vegetarian foods high in protein & low carb?!


Question: Vegetarian foods high in protein & low carb!?
i've been using my daily plate at livestrong!.com and learned that most of the calories i eat are coming from carbs!. can looking for foods where a larger portion of calories come from protein so i can balance this out!.

i don't eat meat, chicken, fish or eggs!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To be honest, if you're eating enough of nothing else but vegetables to keep you from feeling hungry then you are also eating enough protein!. People think vegetables are inferior in some way!. The only way meats are better at all is that meat contains elemental iron which is already processed to be stored by animal tissue and is absorbed faster than iron found in vegetables!. Meat also contains a higher concentration of iron than vegetables!. Other than those distinctions you can continue to eat as many vegetables as your palate desires and be assured you're not missing out on anything which the addition of 3 ounces of steak/beef once a week won't fix!.
Humans take in far too much protein and need only around 20% of their calories from protein - we run much better on a diet higher in carbs and lower in fats!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Buy some Indian cookbooks!. You'll find that most Indian food taste quite good, although a little spicy!. There contain a lot of beans which are full of protein!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
