Alot of people who run don't realize it but they kind of quit breathing while running!. You should try to focus on your breathing while running and be sure to breath out your mouth and in your nose!. The headache/lightheaded feeling is from lack of Oxygen to the brain, form improper breathing!. Hope this helps, my boxing trainer taught me this one!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have the same problem!. I run a mile 3 times a week and after I just need a breath!. It's usually normal but it could be asthma!. Plus there is a saying it takes 7 chances to make good on 3!. Think of chances as days!. Don't push yourself too much!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

could be a variety of things!.

asthma
someone in your household smokes
bronchitis
high resting heart rate

1 mile is really not that much though!. And maybe you dont get your rate high enough when running!. Try pushing yourself a little harder each time to lower your resting heart rate!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it might be that you don't have very much stamina!.
and to build up you stamina all you do is keep running that mile then in crease that over timeWww@Answer-Health@Com

definetely signs of asthma!. get checked out by your doctor! it also might be dehydration so make sure you drink ALOT of water!. and make sure your eating enough throughout the day!. food and water are extremely important!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
