Want to lose a lot of weight within a year and a half...?!

Question: Want to lose a lot of weight within a year and a half!.!.!.!?
I would like to lose about 130 pounds between now and Spring of 2010!. If I work out 3 times a week (Curves for Women) and cut back on portion sizes, and cut out all sodas, is this a realistic goal!? This would be about 1!.5 pounds lost per week!. I find it very difficult to "diet" and try to cut out all my favorite foods (ice cream does me in!!)!. Is it possible to lose this much weight by simply eating less of the same type of food I eat now!? I do have obesity in my family on my mothers side so I figure some of my weight is genetic!. However, I firmly believe I can lose this weight and be healthier!. My main motivation is wanting to start a family with my husband in about a year and a half!. I don't want anything to risk my pregnancy or getting pregnant!. Thanks for any advice you can give Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is would be pretty aggressive!. Push out your target date just a bit!. For healthy weight loss try for a pound a week!. Can you increase the 3 times a week workout to 5 times a week!? That would be a big boost!. Cutting back on junk food and increasing your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables is a big help!. Cutting out soda completely is very good!. When trying to achieve a large goal like 130 lbs, you could get frustrated on the way!. I suggest setting mini goals for yourself along the way!. Set a target to loose the first 10 and so forth!. If you miss a mini goal, work harder for the next one!. If you make or surpass one, give yourself a little treat!. Instead of ice cream, try some frozen low fat yogurt!. Good luck!. I hope this goes well for you!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is a very realistic goal!. However, you have to make a life change instead of just looking as a diet or a temporary thing!. You definitely would have to change your diet, consistently workout and become more active day to day in your life in general!. The average pace of weight loss weekly is 2-3 pounds a week so at the pace of 1!.5 pounds a week shouldn't be a problem!. Usually for people that has excessive weight tend to lose weight at a much faster pace(at least for the first few weeks) then somebody who may not be as big but is working on losing weight!. You just have to dedicate yourself and you will be fine!. It takes discipline!. Check out the link below to help you on your successful journey to reaching your goal!.

Is 1!.5 lbs a week a realistic, achieveable goal!.!.!. yes!. Is 130 lbs in 18 months realistic!.!.!. well, that depends!.!. do you really have 130 lbs to lose!. No, I'm not asking for your weight, I'm just saying that you need to make your goal weight reasonable!. Also remember that the weight will come off faster (and with less effort) in the beginning!. To start out with, yes you can just eat less of what you are eatting now with success!.

A couple of things to keep in mind!.!.!.!. don't cut back your calories too much!.!. (a) it's not sustainable for 18 months and (b) its not healthy!.!.!. your body will think you are starving and won't burn calories as well!. I've seen different numbers for the lowest you should go either 1,000 or 1,200!. Really it's a good idea to figure out your own resting heart rate to figure out the calories you should need and go from there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can keep track of your calorie intake on www!.fitday!.com!. Just make it a habit to eat healthy and cut about 500-750 calories a day from what you eat now and do cardio exercise!.!.particularly in the mornings before you eat much it will burn fat and get your metabolism up the rest of the day!. Thats a tough goal but you can do it with some dedication, and use ice cream as a reward when you do really good for a week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
