How long will it take me to lose 5 pounds?!


Question: How long will it take me to lose 5 pounds!?
Please don't say I don't need to lose weight!. I feel I do and thats all that matters!.
I weigh 116!.
18 years old
5 foot 5

I've started cutting my calories big time!. I used to eat fast food 3 + times a day!. With soda, burger, fries!. etc!.
Now i've been eating at home more
And when I do eat fast food, I choose something healthy!.
I don't get soda!. Instead I drink water, o r SOMETIMES tea!.
I track my calories everyday on

I don't eat more than 1500 calories a day!. which is a big change for me!. And I try to exercise daily!.
How long will it take to lose 5 lbs!?

I have heard for every five hundred calories you cut out of your daily diet, you should lose about one pound a week!. So, if you were previously eating 2000 calories a day and are now eating 1500, you should lose five pounds in five weeks!. THat's the healthiest way to do it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is a possibility to lose weight quickly but you should be realistic and comprehend that if you lose weight quickly then you will almost certainly put it all back on again just as quickly!. it should take two weeks in my opinion especially as you are used to eating a lot ( your metabolism must be great as you are still very skinny)

It depends!. Everyone has a median calorie requirement--the amount you need in order to maintain the same weight with no gain or loss!. If you eat less than this, you should lose weight!. More than this, and you could gain weight!. Typically, for your height, I'd guess that is about 1800 or so, which would make your current 1500 calorie max a good number for losing weight!. However, everyone is different and only with experimenting with your daily calorie intake can you really determine your calorie needs!. For example, if you aren't losing, lower your daily calorie maximum and try it out for a few days!.

However !.!.!. 116 lbs is already pretty good weight!. Remember if you don't getting adequate nutrition, your metabolism will be lower which will make it more difficult to lose weight even at a calorie deficit, and the lower you go, the lower your metabolism will get!. And of course, your body will go into conservation mode and start reserving the fat and feeding on muscle for energy instead (which will also make it harder weight and easier to gain in the future)!.

To minimize that, It is best to only lose 1 or 2 lbs a week, so aim for 2 weeks if you are sure about wanting to lose more weight!.

116 lbs is not bad at all though!. Some research I've looked at in my Human Growth and Development class found that weight obsession as a teenager is a significant predictor of adulthood obesity!. I'm not really sure why this is, whether it is because the body gets accustom to storing every ounce of fat that goes in it due to diet restriction, or if it is just because some people eventually let themselves go!. But it is an interesting study!.

So if you lose weight, just be smart about it and keep health and nutrition in mind not just appearances!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
