I cannot kick without bending my knee - kickboxing, any suggestions?!


Question: I cannot kick without bending my knee - kickboxing, any suggestions!?
I am going to start kickboxing in about a weeks time!. And im worried as i cannot kick or kick high enough!. Anyway the problem is that when i try to kick, i cannot help but bend my knee!. It really annoys me!. And the second thing is that when i do kick i cannot kick high at all!. When i try to kick high it hurts my groin area!. It annoys me that my knee bends everytime, i cannot keep my leg straight!
Do you have any suggestions!?

Well if you're going to a class for it don't expect everyone else to be able to do it either!. And normally you do bend your knee when kicking to build up potential energy!. With the groin pain thats just non-flexibility, should just stretch every morning when you wake upWww@Answer-Health@Com

Hmm, well you have to stretch your legs!. Try making splits, start slow, and gradually advance!. Eventually the pain will go away as you will get use to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
