Well I managed to lose 48lbs in just over 6 months!. That was two and a half years ago!. I have since then been able to maintain my weight with ease!.

I, like you tried endless diets!. Yes, whilst many worked!. I was never successful in keeping the weight off!. Unfortunately, there is no magic formula when it comes to quick weight loss!. The weight won't come off overnight!. Just as it did not go on overnight!. But it is possible to lose weight and keep it off!.

So I came to the conclusion that I would change my eating habits and embark in regular exercise!. The results were absolutely amazing!.

This is how I did it!.

I kept all junk foods, ready made processed meals you buy in the supermarket, alcohol, sugary fizzy drinks, and takeaway meals to an absolute minimum!. These are high in refined sugar and full of saturated fat!. The two main ingredients responsible for that extra weight gain!. Junk food is just what it says - JUNK!. With one added ingredient in - FAT!.

I ate a balanced healthy, low fat diet of:-
Lean meats, poultry, fish, eggs, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, (including potatoes - but making sure you keep them plain and simple), low fat dairy products, skimmed milk, sugar free beverages and non sugary cereals!.

I included more wholefoods into my diet!. Such as brown bread, brown pasta, brown rice, beans & pulses!. These are high in fiber and will keep you feeling fuller for longer!.

Try to MOVE as MUCH as you CAN!. EXERCISE will really help to acelerate your weight loss!. Although, exercise is beneficial regardless of your diet!. However, 80% of your physique is a result of what you eat!. 20% is exercise!.

Staying activie is one of the strongest indicators of long-term success!.

But one thing you have to remember is when you have reached your realistic target weight!. If you go back to your old eating habits and activity levels you will put the weight back on again!. It is as simple as that!.

You have a life to live and enjoy!. So hang on to the satisfaction of being a comfortable, healthy weight you can sustain!.

Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes!. I've lost 50 pounds with a life style change to a low-fat vegetarian diet advocated by world-recognized heart specialist Dr!. Dean Ornish!. Avoid the "corporate diet" that include excess salt, sugar, and fats/oils!. Most processed foods are laden with ingredients that cause weight gain!. Avoid fried foods and even breads that have fats!. You will need to read labels, and begin eating fresh vegitables and fruits!. The Heart Association recommended diet does not go far enough!.

You need a life style change, not a temporary diet!. Most fad diets are temporary and lead to uncontrolled weight gain and you begin to yo yo in your weight!.

Avoid:

Sugar
Salt
Meat
Limit intake of fish
Oils/Fats (both allegidly good and bad oils, animal and plant)
Nuts
Processed bread and foods
Alcohol

Eat:

Fresh Fruits
Fresh Vegitables
Salads
Calcium Supplements
Oil supplement (one tablet a day)
Whole grain foods

Dr!. Ornish cites scientific studies to back his claims for this healthier diet!. This diet has been shown to reverses heart disease and reduces your chances of: high blood pressure, cancers, diabetes!. It also prolongs your life!. The reason I've stayed on the diet is the fact that I feel much more alert and alive!. That should be the biggest motivation!.

Weight loss is far less important than feeling healthier and being healthier!. I personally recommend at least 1 hour of aerobic exercise at least 5 times per week!.

Many quick fix drugs have dangerous and life-shortening side-effects!. If this diet was a drug, it would be the most prescribed drug in the world!. You can eat more and weigh less!.

Change your life style, don't take drugs (legal or illegal)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I understand the 100th diet nightmare for sure!
I lost 100 lbs in 1 year by going to Curves and doing a low carb diet and yoga!. I have kept the weight off for 2 years since by moderate exercise and maintaining the low carb but allowing myself to cheat occasionally!.

The low carb can be intimidating as I absolutely was addicted to bread and pasta! But I learned to get low carb Mission tortillas and basically anything you would do with bread (sandwiches, hamburgers, hotdogs) just used the tortilla and actually got used to it and love it now! The biggest thing to remember is exercise!!! Dont give up! Initially I saw sometimes up to 5 lbs a week then that came down because I was building muscle which is great! So dont only look at the number, look at your clothing size and how you feel! Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went on a diet for about a month and a half in an effort to change my eating habits for good!. I tracked my calories closely in an excel spreadsheet (used calorieking!.com to get amounts), deducted any exercise that I did, and tracked my weight loss, BMI, and measurements over that period of time!. I lost about 13 pounds (142 pounds to 129) and was very lean at the end of it!. I kept my calories at about 1,300 a day and did yoga for 1 hour a day!. Looking back, this was probably a better plan for short term weight loss than for healthy weight loss over time!. Now I'm not tracking my food anymore but I am much more conscious of my portion sizes and when I eat each day!. I'm also drinking much more water than I did in the past and exercise approximately 5 times a week!. I've kept the weight off and know that if I want to lose more all I have to do is up the exercise a little and cut the food a little!.

I found tracking mostly made me aware that what I was eating was way too much!. Also, listing everything you eat in a day and seeing if it's all junk food or good food really puts things in perspective!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you want to lose weight, look at the big picture of being healthy!. Focus on cutting out all fatty, fried and fast foods!. No sodas either
