If you are recovering from a cold, how long should you refrain from going down t!


Question: If you are recovering from a cold, how long should you refrain from going down the gym!?
I've had a cold for three days now, and have been off work for two days!. I normally go running at the gym four times a week, but I don't think it is right to go at the moment because it will spread the virus to others, and make me tired so slowing down my recovery!.
How long should I leave it before going back!?

I found it ok going when I had a cold!. As long as you're not coughing and spluttering everywhere I wouldn't worry about anyone else!.!.!.and besides, even if they did catch you cold, you'd soon have the gym all to yourself because they'd be at home sick :) Brilliant!.
I do a lot of running and I found that it made me feel less drowsy when I had a cold!. I wasn't as sleepy and snotty if you know what I mean!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You shouldn't leave any days out if you want to work out!. People get sick, they will get sick if it's from you, or someone else!. It doesn't matter!. Once you get sick this winter you usually don't get sick again!. Unless it's a flu and not a cold!. It's normal to get sick, and I know your trying to have some common courtesy toward others but it doesn't matter!. Do what you want to do, go work out, you'll feel better by getting some exercise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, what i would do if i were u is not to go to the gym for about a week so that way you don't spred it around!.!.!. but, if you want to stay in shape while having your cold, i would maybe go for a quick run around the block or so, so that way you will be ok and your cold will go away soon!.!.!. hopefully!.!.!.!. hope ya feel better!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

As long as you can breathe easily, there's no reason not to go!.

Be polite - don't sneeze on anyone, use tissues, and don't shake hands - more colds are spread hand to hand than any other way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my husband forces himself to go to the gym or football, and says after about 10 mins he feels great!.
