hi

Actually this is may be the best diet - very good results, burn fats and keep your muscles, so after lose weight to look very good!.

Your dad is right in some point, but not every meat contains fats!. The best meat you can take are chicken chests!. Count on them and also on white of eggs!. These are the two protein sources without fats!.

I will suggest you to eat carbohydrates too!. Do not forget completely about them!. Eat oatmeal with your breakfast and something sweet after training!.

During the day you can continue eating veggies and protein with every meal you have!.

Good choice is to buy yourself a whey protein, which contains only pure protein without carbos and fats!. Take whey protein with your breakfast and after training!.

About red meat and other types of meat - you have to be careful with them especially if you do not do training, because they contains saturated fatty acids, which are bad fats and you won't be able to burn them if you don't train!.

Hope this will help you!.

Protein is up there with the most important element for our bodies!. High protein diets are basically for building muscle!. In which people will use steak, eggs, fish and so on as a protein supplement!. THere are also supplements that do as well, although they are extremely expensive and usually egg based, and all around are really excessive and meaningless unless your a body builder!. While effective, high protein diets contain alot of downsides including depressive disorders and the dieters focusing souly on protein as an "answer for all!." In my experience with obsessive family members, talking with dietitians, my personal education within organic foods and such, using old fashioned "body for weights" exercises and whole foods (vegetables, fruits, menial protein) is the healthiest and most effective way over all!.
