i want to start a diet with 500 caliories a day, with fruits and veggies, and rice cakes, and a little meat every day, along with exercizing everyday!. with this work!? and is there any way to find out how many calories are in a apple, banana, grapefruit, and orange!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

500 calories a day is way too little a diet!. eating only 500 calories a day will just cause your body to starve, which will cause your metabolism to slow and store fat!. since you are going to be exercising everyday, you are going to need more than 500 calories to keep you going!. when you exercise, do different exercises everyday so that you get the most of the workout!. have a set plan too!. don't start out with too intense workouts unless you are already at that level!. if you go by this 500 calorie diet, you will just end up becoming anorexic

instead of focusing on your caloric intake, look at what you are eating!. cut out trans fats, saturated fats, foods that contains bad cholesterol, limit your sugar intake!. you have to keep your meals well-balanced!. you need your proteins, carbohydrates, sugars, dairies, fruits and vegetables!. so you can have your fruits and vegetables with your meals or as snacks!. as for your rice cakes those can be snacks!.

there are sites where you can find the nutritional value of foods and the amount of calories there are in fruits!. but for fruits the calories don't really matter because the nutritional values outweigh the importance of the calories!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, 500 calories is definitely not enough!.
You may think the less calories the better, but that is entirely untrue!.
When you don't have energy from food, then you are more tired, and for one, you won't be able to stick to your diet because you eat when you are tired!.
Secondly, having more calories to burn is better because when your exercising with not energy, then you are unable to perform at your best, meaning you will burn less calories!.

I would try anywhere from 1200 at minimum and up to 1600!.
You will not be able to stick to your diet if you try eating 500 calories in a day!.

With so few calories, your body will go into "starvation mode"!. You will lose weight because your body will be surviving off of it's fat stores, but as soon as you eat normally again your body won't be able to process the food, and all of it will be stored as fat!. I think that 500 calories a day is too little!. I think that having around 1500 calories a day would be alot better because if you don't eat enough your body may go into starvation mode and then it takes every piece of nutrience it gets and stores it as fat!.

Grapefruit: 100 calories

first it depend on your age!.!.!.if your an adult don't go lower then 1200 calories bcs your body will be in starvation mode and stock all the fat he can!! What I dot!.!.!.have 1 slice of bread and 1 slice of ham for breakfast then for Lunch and dinner a 1/2 cup of rice or pasta or couscous or potato with 2 cup of veggies steamed and only 3 ounces of protein like meat, fish or eggs!. yeah its a little low, try to aim for about 1000 calories!.!.!. it will start you off, and if you eat too little and your body knows it, then it will go into "starvation mode", so your body will hang on to every ounce of fat thats in you (and you DONT wnt that!.!.!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com
