Answers:
number 1 its not stupid, number 2 !.!.!.!.WOW!. i'm amazed at most of these answers, i'm sorry!.

physiologically, carbohydrates are absolutely non essential!. here's a quick question to ask anyone who says otherwise:

"please name me an essential carbohydrate!." they can't!.

then ask them this:

"please name me an essential protein!." there are many!.

"please name me an essential fat!." there are quite a few!.

if our body NEEDS carbohydrates, it will create glucose from our stored protein (our muscles)!.

fruits are good for you!. don't get me wrong!. so are green veggies!. however, if you want to drop stored bodyfat, 75% of the population do well on very low carb diets!. i'm talking about less than 50 grams of carbs per day!. with that being said, fruits are not conducive with this type of diet!.

when we reach our bodyfat level goals, THEN re introduce carbs back into our life and learn how to manage them better!. have them for breakfast and after your workout only!.

its alot more detailed than this however!. like the proper amount of protein and fats!. but you didn't ask all that!.

one last thing, just because somebody is a doctor, doesn't mean they are knowledgeable on nutrition!. most times, a doctor only knows what they learned in medical school!. and what if that was 30 years ago!? the science of nutrition as grown exponentially since then! and most times these doctors are diabetic and borderline obese!.

if you like, read the book "good calories, bad calories" to learn how inept the medical field is in regards to nutrition!. the book will open your eyes! i must add that i don't necessarily agree with everything in that book, but the evidence the author puts forth is compelling!.

There are almost no foods that are totally carb free!. Which is a good thing - because you have to have some carbs or you'll die of malnutrition!. A low-carb diet, on the other hand, is what all we diabetics have to consume!. I suggest you take a beginning class in nutrition to learn more about food science so that you don't inadvertently harm yourself with an improper diet!. Such classes are almost always available at your local adult education center or community college!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it's not a good idea to completely eliminate carbs from your diet!. Your body NEEDS carbs!.!.!.!.!.the key is to eat them in moderation!. Once you go off your 'no carb' diet, you're going to gain all that weight back PLUS some since eliminating such major thing from your diet puts your body in distress and once you start eating it again, your body will overcompensate!. You can CUT some carbs out, but never eliminate!. BALANCED diet and exercise is the only sure way to lose weight and KEEP IT OFF!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yea they do!. just to let you know they actually contain a lot of carbs and are in fact better carbs that you would get from bread and such!. also a no carbs diet in my opinion does not work!. it is really hard to follow and pretty useless!.what you really need to do is watch your caloric intake!. if you take in more calories then you burn a day you will gain even though you are no carbs!. while if you burn more calories it dosen't matter how much carbs you ate you still lose weightWww@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, they do!. And no, it's not stupid :)

There are different types of carbs though!. Have you talked to your doctor about the no carb diet!? I think they have been found to be unhealthy!. Low carb diets are fine, but since cutting out the "good carbs" means you are missing out on nutrients, from fruits and whole grains, I think most professionals agree it's not a good idea!.

Actually, you don't need to "diet" in fact to lose weight, I discovered this at the website in the box below, they have lots of tips and tricks, I worked off 5 pounds by following their techniques!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Almost all of the calories in fruit is from carbohydrates, mostly sugars!. The only exceptions are avocados and olives which contain substantial amounts of oil!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
