Help please! Am I too skinny?!


Question: Help please! Am I too skinny!?
I am thirteen (in eighth grade) and I weight 80!.2 pounds!. My ribs are visible through my skin!. I don't like eating a lot but I am a type 1 diabetic and I am suppose to eat certain amounts to maintain my blood Sugar and I usually eat that much some days less!. Some people ask if I'm anorexic or bulimic but I'm not and I want to know how skinny is too skinny for my age!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you want to not be skinny; you will have to eat food that has some calories in them!. The more calories that the foods have; the more weight you will gain!.
Remember, boys don't like skinny girls!.
My son is a diabetic too!. He is a little bit over weight; but he looks really good!.
Take good care of yourself!. Eat a good variety of foods and drink at least 6 glasses of water a day!. If you don't like water; make lemonade!. If you want something bad enough; you will find a way!.
If you loose your health; you will loose a lot of other things too!.
I would also be good to take exercises in moderation!. Walking is just as good as some other exercises!.

The research into non-insulin diabetes is still on-going, particularly in the areas of how our bodies adapt to different types of exercise, work loads & physical stress!. For example, contracting a muscle uses up stored energy and blood sugars, clearly, while studies have shown that the opposite motion (eccentric contraction) can burn stored fats!. This was proven by having people walk uphill versus walking downhill (I forget who by just now, sorry)!.
It's important to remember just how young your body is and that there is a lot of development ahead of you, and that your food's "glycemic index" is not the only important thing about what food means to you now & in the future!. As your lifestyle and social habits change so will how, when & where you eat!. Your attention to your health is great and a lot of people should be aware of what they stuff in their mouths!. How you look now will continue to change for a number of years starting very soon and, yes, food will be an important factor!.
Continue to look for ways to give yourself the best information to go on as knowledge is continually changing!. As you grow, so should your mind, even if the minds of those around you don't, and don't let the false opinions of others decide who you are or how you should be seen!. And have tons of fun doing it, because life's so damn short!.

1st how tall are you!?!?!? if your like 5"5-5"9 i would say YEAH start eating, but that makes a difference!. I was 102 lbs @ 5"7 and i got the same thing!. But i had a height metabolism!. But now, 10yrs later i'm about 130 so my metabolism slowed down!.,!.Boo!.!. But no, you should go to your parents ask them to take you to your doctor and see about going to a nutritionist and ask them what they think!. ESPECIALLY since your a diabetic its VERY important to keep your sugar up! i'm sure you know this, but don't for get about it!. Alot of people your age can be underweight too because of the Diabetes, but check with your doc!. Again, depending on how tall you are is a factor too!. Good luck and try to be more hungry! food is good for you, and i know all too well what it feels like to not be too hungry in a 24hr period, but i always have to remind my self to eat something no matter what! Your naturally skinny by teh sounds of it!.

As long as you eat right, exercise (but not to the extremes) and dont sick up everything you eat, you dont have any type of eating disorder!. Your just blessed with a slim figure!.

I cannot calculate yoru bmi as i do not know your height, but if you are over 4,6 (which i think you will be) you may be too skinny!. Try to get up to your ideal weight if you can!. You can up your calorie intake but make sure you're eating a healthy, well-balanced diet!. Some types of exercise burn more calories than others so make sure you're eating more calories than you're using!.

Actually you are!. The average weight for a gr!.8 girl is around 100 pounds!. But if you eat more HEALTHY foods that don't affect your diabetes, you are fine!. Also if you can, remember to work out!.

Yes you are too skinny!. You need to start eating more!. Eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables along with healthy fats like avocado and raw nuts!. And maybe 1-2 servings of dairy/meat a day!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well it dpends on how tall you are like if you were 5'6'' and that much then there would be a conern but if you were like 4'8'' and that much it would b e normal so how tall are you!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
