Chicken flesh is relatively low in fat but the skin is not!. The best way to enjoy chicken and not worry about the waistline is to buy it skinless!.

That also applies to most meat!. The skin has the fat layer attached to it therefore is the unhealthiest part!. Just think of the days when your mother would cook pork with crackling!. The crackling always has a 1/4 inch layer of fat attached to it!. Unfortunately, the crackling is the best part! LOL!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, when you roast a whole bird, yes, theres plenty of fat!. When you just roast chicken parts like thighs or legs, remove the skin and cut way down on the fat!. Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are the lowest in fat of any chicken piece!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it sits in its' own fat it is not lean!.
