Question: I was reading a question and wondered!?
well i was reading someones question from a few months ago asking something like
what are some exercises !.!.!.!.!. etc!.
and the answerer said

''get your ipod on and do intervals - fast run for 20 sec and slow for 40 sec!. do it for 20 minutes - next time mix it up, do 10 sec super fast and slow for 50 or 10 on 20 off and make up fun little intervals - the time will go faster and it is a great way to put some major cardio into your body - you burn a lot more fuel (calories) and utilize more muscle than steady state runs -''

I was wondering if that actually does work i mean to burn calories and make more muscle !?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It does!. But running isn't the best way to do this, this workout works best on a bike!.

So this workout is called burst training!. Burst training consists of very short and intense bouts of activity that are to be repeated several times These bouts last for no longer than one minute or 20 seconds in your case and the shorter the duration of exertion, the harder you can push yourself!. And the harder you can push yourself, the more likely you will reach oxygen debt, or excess post-exercise oxygen consumption!. When you reach oxygen debt, your body ends up burning more calories and fat long after the exercise has stopped!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
