I keep reading anything below 18% body fat is too low or considered underweight, then why do most professionals in the athletic industry consider 13-14% body fat on women to be excellent!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Because athletes and "normal" people have different body fat percentages!. This is why when you purchase a scale with a body fat indictator it tells you to select "Athlete" or "Normal"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It depends on the amount of lean mass a person has!. A female who doesn't have much muscle and is underweight is not going to be healthy at under 18% body fat, but someone who has a normal BMI with lots of muscle may be able to drop as low as 13%-14% and still be healthy!. That said women have to be careful as if they drop their body fat percentage too low they can lose their periods!.
