What do you think about working out while you have a cold.......?!

Question: What do you think about working out while you have a cold!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
I have had a cold since Monday!. I just really have a runny noise, and that is about it!. I am hoping to get over it hopefully in a few days, but today is one of my work out days (weight lifting)!. If I don't go today I wil not be able to go until next Tuesday!.

I have read mixed things about this!. Some say your body needs rest, and others say you will be fine!. I am looking for anyone who has experience with working out while sick!.

ThanksWww@Answer-Health@Com

This is my situation right now!. I continued doing my workouts at home!. I can't work out as hard, but I still work out!.

In particular, cardio gets my blood pumping and helps me breathe better!. It almost always clears a headache!.

It turns out that it's hard to tell if you're sore from the cold or from an effective workout!. So, no difference!. I do make sure I get plenty of fluids and rest when sick!. I also would avoid a gym!. You don't want to give other people your cold!.

Edit: I just finished a workout, and I changed my mind!. A workout, particularly cardio, can get you past the tail end of a cold!. But if you're in the major part of it, I would get your rest!. You can't read your body as well as to when you're overdoing it (particularly on weights) and an injury is worse than not maintaining a workout schedule!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's not a bad illness and you don't feel run-down, it's best to work out!. Raising your body temperature will actually help fight the bug!. Plus, you'll have more energy and help clear out your head and lungs!. But, if you feel run-down or feverish or think you have any kind of infection, it's best to skip the gym!. Your body needs time to rest and heal in that case!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think the best way to get over an illness is to pretend you're not sick!. I would definately work out just remember to stay extremely hydrated!. This is very important!. Also please work out at home so you don't get the other people at the gym sick!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need rest, but you still need exercise, i would recommend excersising then taking it easy after its over!.!. stay warm!Www@Answer-Health@Com
