Ok, so I am about 5'1
12,
and 138 pounds!.

By most medical standards, your ideal body weight is about 111 pounds (9 stone if you're in the UK), so you are just a touch overweight!. At present, your Body Mass Index (BMI) is 26!.1!. Anything over 24!.9 is considered overweight!. The BMI is not used to calculate fat percent, but to help calculate increased risk for diseases!. So, what this means is as long as you continue to have a high BMI you will be at higher risk for diabetes, heart disease, and so on!. Yes, at 12 you can develop diabetes and other significant health issues!.

What you need to do is really concentrate on watching what and how much you eat!. The number problem in the average person's diet today is portion control!. Not only do we eat a lot of the wrong things, we eat too much of them at one time!. No one on the planet should eat a double meat, double cheese hamburger!. It's a pain in the rear, but measure your portions of food when you eat!. Only eat one serving of each type of food at each meal!. Then after you eat, wait at least 20 minutes before you decide to get more food, then only eat an extra serving of vegetables not meat!. This will hep you develop good eating habits that will continue for the long term!.

There's a whole lot more you can do!. The best thing would be have your family doctor refer you to a nutritionist!. They can go into much more detail than time and space allow here!.

you are in the middle of puberty, don't worry about your weight just yet!.!.!. because you are going to shoot up in height and then the weight will be "spread out" and you will be the perfect weight!. At twelve you should just be worried about making sure you get a reasonable amount of exercise (go to the park, ride your bike, skip rope, just have fun) and the foods you eat!. Limit the "junk food" and eat veggies and fruit every day!. Just try to be healthy overall, and you'll find that before you know it your body will find its perfect weight on its own (as long as you don't, like, eat pizza every day) Enjoy being twelve!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think that u r not overweight, you just like to eat alot! i am the same! i just turned 12 and the last time i went 2 the doctor i was about 150! that is VERY overweight, but the reason why we are like this is not always what you eat, its just how much we take in! the reason y i eat so much is not bciz im hungry, its just because im bored and things taste good! so now when i eat, i just eat when im REALLY hungry, not when im bored!!!

ur prlly not tht over weight!. but if u rlly want to slim down u need to eat healthy, exersize walk everyday or at least 4 days a week!. and by eat healthy I mean salads, not mcdondalds or bk!. if u do tht u should lose some weight!. At your age, it's a simple matter of eating less and eating healthier!.
just tell yourself "no" next time you want fast food or sweets!.
and eat less in your meals, don't overeat, etc!.

and walk around more, get more exercise!.

exercise go to the gym at least 4-5 times a week, do push ups, sit ups, run around, and stay on a healthy diet!. Be careful, losing weight gets harder as you age!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
